Dil, Söylem ve Kimlik Perspektifinden Yemen Krizinin Okunması

Abstract

Yemen üst kimliği ile bir araya gelerek tek çatı altında birleşen Yemenliler mezhepsel ve bölgesel alt kimliklerini öne çıkararak ayrışma sürecine girmişlerdir. Bu nedenle son beş yıldır yaşanan iç çatışmalar nedeniyle iki yüz elli bin kişi yaşamını yitirmiş ve ülkenin yüzde sekseni temel yaşamsal ihtiyaçlara muhtaç hale gelmiştir. Ulusal ve uluslararası girişimler sorunun çözümü için bugüne kadar müspet bir sonuç sağlayamamıştır.Bu çalışmada ayrışmanın ve çatışmaların özünde yatan nedenlerin söylemlere nasıl yansıdığı ele alınmaktadır. Bu amaçla Ensarullah’ı (Husiler)*** destekleyen Al Mesire TV kanalının, El Hadi yanlısı Al Sevra gazetesinin ve Güney Geçiş Konseyi taraftarı Aden 24 gazetesinin internet haber portallarında 1 Temmuz- 31 Aralık 2019 tarihleri arasında yer alan haberlerin söylemleri cümle ve sözcük düzeyinde analiz edilmiştir. Söylemlerde özellikle ‘biz’ ve ‘öteki’nin nasıl konumlandırıldığı ve betimlendiği üzerinde durularak bu ayrışmanın ulaştığı boyut tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Haberlerde kullanılan söylemler El Hadi’nin, ulusal kimlikle Yemeni bir çatı altında birleştirmeye çaba harcadığını, diğer grupların ise bu üst kimliğe daha alt kimlikleri öncelediğini ortaya koymuştur.Bu makalenin özellikle Yemen sorununu anlamaya ve çözümüne katkı sunmaya çalışanlara ülkedeki ayrışmanın ve parçalanmanın nedenleri, boyutları hakkında bilgi verebileceği değerlendirilmektedir. Ayrıca çözümün nasıl bir zeminde ve hangi çerçevede sağlanabileceğine dair önemli ipuçları sağlayabileceği umulmaktadır.

Yemenis, who came together with the Yemen superior identity under a single roof, entered the separation process by highlighting their sectarian and regional sub-identities. For this reason, due to the internal conflicts in the last five years, two hundred fifty thousand people have lost their lives and eighty percent of the country has become in need of basic vital needs. Unfortunately, national and international initiatives have not been able to provide a positive result for the solution of the problem until today.This study examines how the main causes of separation and conflicts are reflected in discourses of the Yemen media. For this purpose, the discourses of the news published between July 1 and December 31, 2019 on the internet news portals of Al Mesire TV channel, pro-Hadi Al Sevra newspaper and Southern Transition Council supporter Aden 24 newspaper were analyzed at the sentence and word level. In the discourses, the dimension reached by this separation has been tried to be determined by focusing especially on how ‘us’ and ‘the other’ are positioned and described.The discourses used in the news revealed that El Hadi made efforts to unite the Yemenis with a national identity under one roof, while other groups prioritize the lower ones.It is evaluated that this article can give information about the reasons and dimensions of the segregation and fragmentation in the country, especially to those who try to understand the Yemen problem and contribute to its solution. It is also hoped that it can give important clues as to what ground and in what framework the solution can be provided.
