Abstract
Sosyal bilimlerde sıkça karşılaşılan memnuniyet araştırmalarında elde edilen verilerin çoğu kategorik veri yapısına uymaktadır. Bu tür verilerin çözümlenmesinde kullanılacak tekniğin doğru seçilmesi, güvenilir sonuçların elde edilmesi açısından çok önemlidir. Bu açıdan sıralı lojistik regresyon analizi, sıralı kategorik değişkenlerin tüm düzeylerinde açıklayıcı değişkenlerin etkilerini belirlemek için uygun bir tekniktir. Ayrıca, lojistik regresyon analizi bağımlı değişkenin kategorik bir değişken olması durumunda çoklu regresyon modelinin bir türü olarak düşünülebilir. Bu çalışmada önce lojistik regresyon ve sıralı lojistik regresyon analizi teorik olarak incelenmiştir. Daha sonra Erzincan Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin kent memnuniyeti sosyo-demografik değişkenler bazında incelenmiş. Farklı fakültelerde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, normal - ikinci öğretim öğrencilerinin ve ayrıca farklı sınıflarda okuyan öğrencilerin kent memnuniyetlerinin birbirinden farklı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Most of data obtained from satisfaction surveys which were most frequently encountered in the social sciences complies with the categorical data structure. The correct selection of the technique used in the analysis of such data, is very important to obtain reliable results. In this respect, ordinal logistic regression analysis is a suitable technique in order to determine the effects of explanatory variables for all levels of ordered categorical variables. In addition, in case of the dependent variable is a categorical variable, logistic regression analysis can be considered as a type of multiple regression model. In this study, firstly logistic regression and ordinal logistic regression analysis were examined theoretically. Then, the city satisfaction of Erzincan university students are investigated based on socio-demographic variables. it is founded that city satisfaction of the students studying on different subjects, first(day-time) and second(nigth-time) students,and also different grade students are different from each other.
