Abstract
Bu tezde çevre sorunlarının Türkiye’deki yazılı basında nasıl yansıtıldığı araştırılmıştır. Böylece yazılı basının çevre sorunları konusundaki duruşu yorumlanmıştır. Türkiye’de yazılı basın içinde çok çeşitli yayınlar yer almaktadır. Ancak bu çalışmada gerçekleştirilen araştırma günlük gazeteler üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Gazetelerin çevre haberlerine verdiği önem bu çalışmanın ilgi alanı olmuştur. Tezin birinci bölümünde çevre ve çevre kirliliğine ilişkin kavramlar yer almaktadır. İkinci bölüm çevre kirliliğine neden olan etmenlere ayrılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde çevrecilik, Türkiye’de çevreciliğini gelişimi, çevre eğitimi, çevre eğitiminde basının etkisi, basının kamuoyu oluşturmadaki etkisi ele alınmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde çevre haberi ve haber üretim süreci yer almaktadır. Beşinci bölüm ise araştırmaya ayrılmıştır. Son bölümde ise elde edilen bulgular değerlendirilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada 2007 yılının yaz ayları incelenmiştir. Yüksek tirajlı 8 günlük gazetede yılın bu aylarında basılmış çevre haberleri incelenmiştir. Haberlerin başlıca özellikleri saptanmış, bu değişkenler çapraz tablolar şeklinde birbiriyle karşılaştırılmıştır. Çevre haberlerinin planlı bir şekilde değil, gazetelerin günlük işleyişi içinde, gelişmelerin etkisiyle hazırlanıp sunulduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu durumda yazılı basın yoluyla toplumun çevre bilinci kazanmasını ummak fazla iyimser bir yaklaşım olmaktadır. evre, Gazetecilik, Yazılı Basın, Çevre Gazeteciliği.
In this thesis, how environmental issues are reflected in print media in Turkey is studied. Thus stance on environmental issues of the print media in Turkey is interpreted. There are various publications in the print media of Turkey. However, the research in this work was carried out using daily newspapers. The importance that newspapers gave to the environmental news is in the concern of this study. In the first chapter of the thesis, there are concepts about environment and environmental pollution. The second chapter is allocated for the factors that causes environmental pollution. In the third chapter, environmentalism, the improvment of enviromentalism in Turkey, environmental education, the effect of the press in environmental education, the effect of the press in molding public opinion is discussed. In the fourth chapter, the are environmental news and the process of news making. Fifth chapter is allocated for the research. In he last chapter the findings are assessed and interpreted. In the research summer months of the 2007 is studied. Environmental news is studied in 8 daily newspapers with high circulation. that are published in these months of the year. Major specifications of the news is determined, these variables are compared with each other in the form of cross-table. It is evident that environmental news is prepared and presented according to the everyday mechanism of the newspapers under the effects of the developments, not well planned. That is why it is a very optimistic approach to hope that people will become environmentally conscious through the print media. Environment, Journalism, Printed Media, Environmental Journalism.
