Publication: Yapay zeka ve gazetecilik bağlamında değişen habercilik anlayışı
Abstract
Son yıllarda yapay zekâ gerek Türkiyede gerekse de dünyada hızlı bir ivme kat etmeye başlamıştır Özellikle gündelik yaşamda süratle yaygınlaşan yapay zekâ uygulamaları, medyanın birçok dalında ciddi değişimler meydana getirmiştir Akıllı telefon teknolojisinin internetle bütünleşmesi ve dijitalizasyon süreçleri de ister istemez bu değişimi hızlandırmaktadır Nitekim yapay zekâ özellikle habercilikte etkisini derinden hissettirmeye başlamış, medya kuruluşları bu teknolojiyi kendi sistemlerine adapte edebilmek adına ar-ge çalışmalarına yönelmiştir Değişen habercilik anlayışını saptayabilmek ve yapay zekâ ile haberciliğin geldiği noktayı analiz edebilmek adına, yapay zekâ ve gazeteciliğe etkilerini incelemek büyük önem arz etmektedir Bu bağlamda yapılan çalışmaların henüz başlangıç seviyesinde olması ise bu tezin hazırlanma ihtiyacını ortaya koymuştur Bu çalışmada, yapay zekânın gazetecilik mesleği üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır Yapay zekâ teknolojilerinin gelişimi, bugün gazetecilik pratiğini önemli ölçüde dönüştürmektedir Haber üretim süreçlerini, kullanılan araçları hatta gazetecilik eğitimi veren okullardaki ders müfredatlarını bile etkileyen yapay zekânın, bu bağlamda gelecekte habercilikte insan unsurunun tamamen ortadan kalkmasına yol açıp açmayacağı sorusu karşımıza çıkmaktadır Çalışma kapsamında yapay zekâ uygulamalarının gazetecilik mesleğine etkileri, uzman meslek profesyonellerinin görüşleriyle kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alınarak, yapay zekânın gazetecilik mesleğinin önüne çıkaracağı fırsat ve tehdit alanları analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır
In recent years, artificial intelligence has started to gain momentum both in Turkey and around the world Artificial intelligence applications, which have rapidly become widespread especially in daily life, have brought about serious changes in many branches of the media The integration of smartphone technology with the internet and digitalization processes inevitably accelerate this change As a matter of fact, artificial intelligence has started to make its impact deeply felt, especially in journalism, and media organizations have turned to R&D studies in order to adapt this technology to their own systems In order to determine the changing understanding of journalism and to analyze the point where artificial intelligence and journalism have reached, it is of great importance to examine the effects of artificial intelligence and journalism The fact that the studies conducted in this context are still at the initial level has revealed the need for the preparation of this thesis This study aims to examine the effects of artificial intelligence on the journalism profession The development of artificial intelligence technologies is significantly transforming the practice of journalism today In this context, the question arises whether artificial intelligence, which affects news production processes, the tools used, and even the course curricula in journalism schools, will lead to the complete elimination of the human element in journalism in the future Within the scope of the study, the effects of artificial intelligence applications on the journalism profession are discussed comprehensively with the opinions of expert professionals, and the areas of opportunity and threat that artificial intelligence will pose to the journalism profession are analyzed
