Abdullah Eyyûbî'nin şerhu risâleti'n-nakşibendiyye tercümesi (Metin ve inceleme)

Abstract

XVIII. yüzyıl Osmanlı ilim ve fikir hayatında önemli bir yere sahip Ebû Saîd Hâdimî (ö. 1176/ 1762), fakih ve usûlcü kimliğinin yanı sıra tasavvufî yönüyle de dikkat çekmiştir. Nakşbendiyye tarikatına mensubiyeti ve bu tarikat hakkındaki telifatıyla bilinen Hâdimî, tarikatın usûl ve esaslarını konu edinen çeşitli risâleler kaleme almıştır. Bu risâlelerden biri, Nakşbendiyye tarikatının usûl ve âdâbını ele alan ve tezimizin temel kaynakları arasında yer alan Risâletü’n-Nakşbendiyye adlı eserdir. Hâdimî’nin Arapça kaleme aldığı bu eser, dönemin önemli sûfîlerinden ve aynı zamanda Hâdimî’nin çağdaşı olan Kösec Ahmed Trabzonî (ö. 1191/ 1777) tarafından Şerhu Risâleti’n-Nakşbendiyye adıyla şerh edilmiştir. Daha sonra bu şerh, dönemin reîsülkurrâsı olarak tanınan ve farklı ilim dallarında telif, tercüme ve şerh çalışmaları bulunan Abdullah Eyyûbî (ö. 1252/ 1836) tarafından Osmanlı Türkçesine tercüme edilmiştir. Şerhin de Arapça olması sebebiyle gerçekleştirilen bu tercüme, eserin daha geniş bir okuyucu kitlesi tarafından anlaşılmasını hedeflemiştir. Bu çalışmada, Abdullah Eyyûbî’nin Şerhu Risâleti’n-Nakşbendiyye tercümesi latinize edilerek günümüz araştırmacılarının istifadesine sunulmuştur. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde müellif, şârih ve mütercim hakkında biyografik bilgilere yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde eser, şerh ve tercüme bağlamında ele alınmış; tercümede öne çıkan temel tasavvufî konular ve kavramlar değerlendirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise ulaşılan beş nüshanın karşılaştırmalı çeviri yazısı yapılmıştır.

Ebû Sa‘îd Hâdimî (d. 1176/ 1762), who held an important place in the intellectual and scholarly life of the Ottoman Empire in the eighteenth century, drew attention not only with his identity as a jurist and an expert in legal theory but also with his Sufi orientation. Known for his affiliation with the Naqshbandiyya order and his works concerning this tradition, Hâdimî authored various treatises addressing the principles and etiquette of the order. One such treatise, Risālat al-Naqshbandiyya, which deals with the rules and manners of the Naqshbandiyya and constitutes one of the main sources of this thesis, is of particular importance. Composed in Arabic by Hâdimî, this work was later commented upon by Kösec Ahmed Trabzonî (d. 1191/ 1777), a contemporary of Hâdimî and a prominent Sufi of his time, under the title Sharḥ Risālat al-Naqshbandiyya. Subsequently, the commentary was translated into Ottoman Turkish by Abdullah Ayyûbî (d. 1252/ 1836), who was recognized as the chief qurrāʾ (reʾīs al-qurrāʾ) of the period and was also known for his works of authorship, translation, and commentary in various disciplines. Since the commentary was also written in Arabic, Ayyûbî’s translation aimed to make the work more comprehensible and accessible to a wider readership. In this study, Abdullah Ayyûbî’s Ottoman Turkish translation of Sharḥ Risālat al-Naqshbandiyya has been transcribed into Latin script in order to facilitate the benefit of contemporary researchers. The thesis consists of three main chapters. The first chapter provides biographical information on the author, commentator, and translator. The second chapter examines the text, the commentary, and the translation, and discusses the fundamental Sufi themes and concepts highlighted therein. The third chapter presents a comparative transcription of the five extant manuscript copies of the translation.
