Çocuklarda ağız ve diş sağlığının korunmasına yönelik mobil uygulama içeriğinin ebeveyn ve eğitimci perspektifinden değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Çocuklarda ağız ve diş sağlığını geliştirmeye yönelik bir mobil uygulama içeriğinin ebeveyn ve eğitimci adayı perspektifinden belirlenmesidir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel tipte tanımlayıcı çalışma, Marmara Üniversitesi Prof. Dr. Ayla Oktay Okul Öncesi Eğitim Uygulama Birimi’nde eğitim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynleri (n=51, K/ E:35/ 16) ve Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Lisans saha uygulamalarında yer alan 4. Sınıf öğrencileri (n=99, K/ E:88/ 11) oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, yapılandırılmış anket formu kullanılarak, yüz yüze görüşmelerle toplanmıştır. Eğitimci olarak tanımlanan öğrenciler, Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Sınıf öğrencisi aday öğretmenlerdir. Bulgular: Mobil sağlık uygulamasını ebeveynlerin %45,1’i ve eğitimci adaylarının %50,5’i kullanırken, ebeveynlerin %80,4’i ve eğitimci adaylarının %69,7’si ağız ve diş sağlığı kurumları tarafından önerilen mobil sağlık uygulamasını kullanabileceğini belirtmiştir. Mobil uygulamada olmasını istedikleri içeriklerin 1.sırada yazma durumu incelendiğinde; hem ebeveyn hem de eğitimci adayında ‘Ağız ve diş sağlığı hizmeti almak için başvurulabilecek kurumların listesi’ ve ‘Düzenli diş hekimi muayenesinin önemi’ öncelikli olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca; eğitimci adayları ‘Ağız ve diş sağlığı ile ilgili hastalıklar ve tedavileri konusunda bilgiler’ içeriğini de öncelikli konu olarak belirtmiştir.Sonuçlar: Ağız ve diş sağlığına yönelik bir mobil sağlık uygulamada; oral hijyen uygulamaları ve tedavilere yönelik bilgileri içeren eğitici ve eğlenceli videolar ile çocukların ağız ve diş sağlığı düzeylerinin arttırılabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Aim: The aim of this study was to define the content of a mobile application for improving oral health in children from parent and candidate educator perspective.Materials and Metod: In this cross-sectional study, parents (n=51, F/ M: 35/ 16) whose children were students of Prof. Dr. Ayla Oktay Pre-School Education Unit in Marmara University and 4th grade students (n=99, F/ M: 88/ 11) who interned the field practices in Pre-school Teacher Education Undergraduate Program at Atatürk Faculty of Education were included. Data were collected with face-to-face interviews by using the structured questionnaire. In this study; opinions of the candidate teachers who are 4th grade students in Preschool Teacher Education Program were obtained as candidate educators.Results: While 45,1% of the parents and 50,5% of the candidate teachers. were using the mobile health applications, 80,4% of the parents and 69,7% of the candidate teachers would like to use a mobile health application recommended by dental healthcare institutions. According to scores of 1st ranked contents desired in the mobile application; both grups ‘List of institutions for oral and dental health services' and 'Importance of regular dental examinations' were observed to be important items. 'Oral and dental health related diseases and treatments’ were also observed to be an important content for candidate teachers in a mobile health application.Conclusion: In the mobile health application for oral and dental health; it was thought that the level of oral and dental health of children could be improved by educational and fun videos that consist of informations about oral hygiene applications and treatments.
