Publication: Kolikli bebeklere beyaz gürültünün etkisi
Abstract
1.ÖZET Kolik; sağlıklı, iyi beslenmiş bebeklerde açıklanamayan sinirlilik ve ağlama dönemleriyle karakterize bir tablo olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Beyaz gürültü ise genel olarak uğultu başlığı altında çevreden gelen dağınık ve değişik frekansların karışımından oluşan, sürekli monoton sestir. Çalışma, kolikli bebeklere beyaz gürültünün etkisini belirlemek amacıyla deneysel olarak yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini; 2005 Mayıs ve 2006 Haziran döneminde VKV Amerikan Hastanesi Pediatri Polikliniği’ne gelen 0–3 ay arasındaki bebekler ve ebeveynler oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın örneklemini; ilgili birimlere gelen ve kolik tanısı konan 0 – 3 ay arası 30 bebek ve ebeveyni oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın deney grubunu; kolik tanısı konmuş 0-3 ay arası, günde 3 saatten fazla ağlayan, işitme testinden geçmiş, herhangi bir fizyolojik problemi olmayan 30 bebek oluşturmuştur. Beyaz gürültü CD’si dinletisinden önce yapılan değerlendirmeler kontrol grubu, beyaz gürültü CD’si dinletisinden sonra yapılan değerlendirmeler ise deney grubu olarak alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacı tarafından ve literatür doğrultusunda geliştirilen, Hasta Onay Formu, Aileyi Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Bebeği Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Ağlama ile İlgili Özellikler Bilgi Formu, Kolikli Bebeğin Günlüğü Formu I/ II, CD çalar, Beyaz Gürültü CD’si kullanılmıştır. Kolikli bebeklerin beyaz gürültü CD’si dinletisinden sonraki(deney) beslenme uyuma süreleri, dinletiden önce(kontrol) beslenme (p<0.01) ve uyuma (p<0.05) sürelerine göre yükselmiştir. Gürültü dinletisinden sonraki(deney) ağlama (p<0.05), haykırma(p<0.01) ve uyanık kalma (p<0.01) süreleri, dinleti öncesine göre düşüş göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak; Beyaz gürültü CD’sinin kolikli bebekleri olumlu yönde etkilediği ve bebeklerin sakinleştirilmesinde etkin ve kullanılabilir bir araç olduğu saptanmıştır. 2.
THE INFLUENCE OF WHITE NOISE ON COLICKY INFANTS Colic is described as a condition characterized with unexplained nervousness and crying episodes in well-fed babies. White noise is continuous monotone sound composing of mixture of scattered and different frequencies coming from environment generally under the title of buzz. This study was performed experimentally with the aim of determining the effect of white noise on the colicky babies. The universe of the study was composed of 0-3 month old babies presenting to VKV American Hospital Pediatrics Polyclinic between May 2005 and June 2006 and their parents. The sample of the study was composed of 30 babies with age of 0-3 month presented to the related units and diagnosed as colic and their parents. The experiment group of the study was composed of 30 babies with age of 0-3 month diagnosed as colic, crying for more than 3 hours in a day, performed audiometric test and without any physiological problem. The evaluations made before white noise CD concert were considered as control group ant the evaluations made after white noise CD concert were considered as experiment group. Patient Consent Form developed by the investigator in the direction of the literature, Information Sheet Introducing Family, Information Sheet Introducing Baby, Information Sheet on Features Related to Crying, Colicky Baby Diary Form I/ II, CD player and White Noise CD were used as data collecting tools. The nutrition sleeping periods of the babies after white noise CD concert (experiment) increased with respect to the nutrition (p<0.01) and sleeping (p<0.05) periods before white noise CD concert (control). Crying (p<0.05), screaming (p<0.01) and awakening (p<0.01) periods after noise concert decreased with respect to before concert. Consequently, it was established that white noise CD affected the babies positively and it was an effective and usable tool for calming down the babies.
