Mesnevî-i Harâbâtî'de bilgi ve ahlak

Abstract

Çalışmamız XVII. Yüzyıl Doğu Türkistan coğrafyasında yetişmiş Uygur mutasavvıf ve alim, Muhammed b. Abdullah Ḥarābātī’nin Mesnevi’sinde ortaya konan bilgi ve ahlak anlayışını ele almaktadır. Müellif bir mutasavvıf olduğu için bilgi ve ahlak arasındaki ilişki de temelde tasavvufî bir mesele olarak incelenmektedir. Bu çerçevede Ḥarābātī’nin ilim, akıl ve marifet gibi anahtar terimleri din ilimleri ve tasavvuf gelenekleri açısından nasıl ele aldığı değerlendirilmiş, özellikle tasavvufî bilginin ahlâkî ve manevi eğitim ile sağlanabileceği telakkisine paralel olarak bilgi-ahlak ilişkisi çalışmamızda yönlendirici olmuştur. Nitekim, Ḥarābātī bilgiye nefs ile mücahede ve riyazet ile ulaşılabileceğini savunanların yolunu izlemiş görünmektedir. Tezin ahlak kısmında da ahlâkî erdemler ve başlıca ahlâkî kavramlar hem tasavvufî ahlak hem de İslam ahlak ilmi perspektifiyle tahlil edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla mukayeseli bir yöntem izlenmiş; Ḥarābātī’nin tasavvufî perspektifinde dile gelen bilgi ve ahlak kavramlarının analizi ile bu ikisi arasındaki ilişki meselesinin çözümlenişi, İslam felsefesi ilmü’l-ahlak geleneğindeki teorik ve terminolojik imkanlar kullanılarak derinleştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Mezkûr eser üzerinde yapılan filolojik çalışmalardan farklı olarak çalışmamız kavramsal bir incelemedir. Bir zeyindeki katkısı ile bu çalışma hem Türkiye hem Doğu Türkistan’ın bilim, düşünce ve edebiyat çevrelerinde gelecekte yapılacak daha derin felsefî, bilimsel ve edebî çalışmalar için mütevazi bir vesile teşkil edecektir.

This work is about knowledge and morality of the book “Mathnawi Kharabati” that is written by Muhammad bin Abdullah Kharabati, who is a Uyghur Muslim Sufi scholar, lived around the 17th century in the East Turkistan region. Since the Author is a Sufi, the relationship between knowledge and morality is analyzed as a Sufi problem. In this context, how Kharabati comprehended the key terms such as knowledge, intellect and gnosis in terms of religious sciences and Sufi traditions is discussed, especially in parallel with the idea that Sufi is provided through moral-spiritual education, the relation between knowledge and morality was guiding the thesis study. Kharabati seems to have followed the tradition of who arguing that knowledge can be reached through Mujahadah and Riyazah. In the moral section of the thesis, moral virtues and main moral concepts are analyzed from the perspective of both Sufi morality and Islamic moral science. Therefore, a comparative method is followed in the thesis; the analysis of the concepts of knowledge and morality founded in the Sufi perspective of Kharabati and the solution of the relation between these two have been tried to be deepened, by using theoretical and terminological possibilities in the Islamic philosophy ‘ilm al-ahlaq’ tradition. In short, it can be emphasized that unlike the philological studies on the Mathnawi, this thesis analyzes the Mathnawi from a conceptual perspective. This work, with the contribution at the level of a master’s thesis, will constitute a humble means for deeper philosophical, scientific and literary studies to be cared of in the future in the scientific, intellectual and literary circles of both Turkey and East Turkistan.
