Bireylerin mutluluk düzeylerinin ordinal lojistik regresyon analizi ile incelenmesi

Abstract

Mutluluk kavramı son yıllarda önemi gittikçe artan bir konudur. Mutluluk kavramının güncel ve gelişime açık bir konu olması sebebiyle tercih edildiği bu çalışmada, 2007 yılı Avrupa Yaşam Kalitesi Anketi aracılığıyla elde edilen ikincil veri kullanılmıştır. Mutluluk değişkeni bağımlı değişken olarak seçilmiş ve ilgili paket program aracılığıyla analiz için uygun şekle dönüştürülerek kullanılmıştır. Ordinal Lojistik Regresyon Analizi aracılığıyla sosyo-demografik özelliklere göre mutluluk düzeyleri incelenmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlarla bu konuya dair yapılmış diğer çalışmaların sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır. Dolayısıyla çalışmanın esas amacı mutluluk düzeyinin yıllar itibariyle değişiminin farklı çalışmalarla ortaya konulmasıdır. Elde edilen analiz sonuçları ile mevcut çalışmaların sonuçları incelendiğinde mutluluk düzeylerinin yıllara göre sosyo-demografik özellikler açısından farklılaşabildiği, ancak yine de temelde benzer sonuçlar verdiği görülmüştür.

The happiness started gaining more importance during the recent years. The happiness conceptual was preferred in this study due to the fact that it is always a current and open to development subject, the secondary data obtained in 2007 through the European Quality of Life Survey were used. The variable, “happiness” was selected as a dependant variable and it was used after being converted into the form apt for analysis through the use of the relevant packaged software. Through the use of the Ordinal Logistics Regression Analysis, the levels of happiness were studied based on the socio-demographic properties and the results obtained were compared with the results of the studies performed on this subject. The main objective of this study is to submit the changes of levels of happiness in years through miscellaneous studies. As the results of the analysis obtained and the current studies are studied, it was seen that the levels of happiness may vary in terms of socio-demographical properties based on the years; however it basically gives the same results.
