Publication: Özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin etik davranış, etik iklim ve tükenmişlik algılarını etkileyen bazı faktörlerin incelenmesi
Abstract
Etik güncel kullanımlarda; aynı amaç etrafında toplanan bir zümrenin, birbirlerine ve hizmet verdikleri topluma karşı ortak bir tutuma sahip olmaları adına düzenlenen ilkeler olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Özel eğitim, etik ilkelerin hassasiyetle benimsenmesi ve uygulanması gereken alanlardan biridir. Son yıllarda Türkiye'de özel eğitimde etik üzerine çalışmaların sayısı artmaktadır. Ancak güncel alanyazın tarandığında, Türkiye'de özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin etik ve etik dışı mesleki davranışları ile ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesini içeren az sayıda çalışma olduğu görülmektedir. Mevcut çalışma alanyazındaki bu açığı gidermek amacıyla özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin mesleki tükenmişlik düzeyleri, görev yaptıkları örgüte ilişkin etik iklim algıları ve kendi mesleki etik davranışları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için planlanmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini İstanbul ilindeki özel eğitim okullarında ve rehberlik araştırma merkezlerinde görev yapan özel eğitim öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu evreni temsil etmek için iki aşamalı rastgele örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak; özel eğitim uygulama okullarından, özel eğitim meslek okulundan ve rehberlik araştırma merkezlerinden 450 özel eğitim öğretmeni belirlenecek ve çalışmada katılımcı olarak yer almıştır. Çalışmada öğretmenlerin mesleki tükenmişlik düzeyleri, görev yaptıkları örgüte ilişkin etik iklim algıları ve kendi mesleki etik davranışları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için ilişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları yurt dışı ve Türkiye alanyazındaki değerlendirmeler ışığında tartışılmıştır.
In contemporary uses; ethics is defined as the principles organized in order for a group gathered around the same goal to have a common attitude towards each other and the society they serve. Special education is one of the fields where ethical principles should be adopted and applied sensitively. In recent years, the number of studies on ethics in special education has been increasing in Turkey. However, when the current literature is scanned, it is seen that there are few studies in Turkey that involve determining the factors associated with the ethical and unethical professional behaviors of special education teachers. In order to fill this gap in the current literature, it was planned to determine the relationship between special education teachers' professional burnout levels, ethical climate perceptions of the organization they work in, and their own professional ethical behaviors. The population of the study consists of special education teachers working in special education schools and guidance research centers in Istanbul. Using the two-stage random sampling method to represent this population; 450 special education teachers will be selected from special education practice schools, special education vocational schools and guidance research centers and will take part in the study as participants. In the study, relational survey method will be used to determine the relationship between teachers' professional burnout levels, ethical climate perceptions of the organization they work in, and their own professional ethical behaviors. The findings to be obtained as a result of the research will be discussed with the discussions in the literature in Turkey and abroad.
