İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencilerinin İmam Hatip Liselerini tercih etme nedenleri/ Biga örneği

Abstract

Ülkemizdeki din eğitimi tartışmaları, 1924 yılında öğretimin birleştirilmesi yasası ile önemli bir gelişme yaşamıştır. Bu yasa çerçevesinde, din görevlilerinin profesyonel anlamda yetiştirilmesi amacıyla ortaöğretim ve üniversite birimlerinin kurulması kararlaştırılmıştır. Bu süreç, din eğitimi konusunun uzun yıllar boyunca tartışılmasına yol açan bir başlangıç noktası olarak kabul edilmektedir. Din eğitimi tartışmalarının merkezinde ise genellikle, laiklik ilkesi ile çelişip çelişmediği görüşü bulunmaktadır. Her iki taraftan savunucuların müdahaleleriyle şekillenen bu görüş, İmam Hatip Okulları üzerinde çeşitli süreçler, değişimler ve dönüşümlere neden olmuştur. İmam Hatip Okulları, din görevlilerini yetiştirmek amacıyla kurulmuş olup, zaman içinde geçirdiği değişim ve dönüşümler sonrasında günümüzde diğer ortaöğretim kurumları gibi geniş bir eğitim yelpazesine sahip olan öğretim kurumları haline gelmiştir. Bu sebeple, İmam Hatip Okullarının öğrencilere sağladığı eğitim, dini uzmanlık eğitimi ile sınırlı kalmamakta; öğrenciler İmam Hatip Okullarında istedikleri her alanda eğitim alabilmekte ve istedikleri meslekler çerçevesinde çeşitli yükseköğretim planları yapabilmektedirler. Kısacası, öğrenciler sadece din görevlisi olmak için İmam Hatip Okullarına gitmemektedirler. Bu bağlamda, yapılan bu araştırmada, İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencilerinin İmam Hatip Liselerini tercih etme nedenlerinin Biga’daki İmam Hatip Liseleri örneğinde incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 205 kız 109 erkek olmak üzere toplam 314 katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Esra Nur Erikoğlu’nun 2019 yılında yapmış olduğu “İmam Hatip Öğrencilerinin Okul Tercihlerine Etki Eden Faktörler” isimli yüksek lisans tezinde kullanılan bilgi toplama formu gerekli izinler alınarak kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS paket kullanılarak analiz edilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir.

Discussions on religious education in our country significantly developed with the law on unification of education in 1924. Within the framework of this law, it was decided to establish secondary education and university units for the professional training of religious officials. This process is considered a starting point that led to the discussion of the issue of religious education for many years. At the center of religious education discussions is generally the discussion of whether it conflicts with the principle of secularism. This view, shaped by the interventions of advocates from both sides, has caused various processes, changes and transformations in Imam Hatip Schools. Imam Hatip Schools were established to train religious officials, and after the changes and transformations they have undergone over time, they have become educational institutions that have a wide range of education like other secondary education institutions. İmam Hatip Schools aimed to meet the need in this field by training expert religious officials. However, as a result of the changes and transformations over time, Imam Hatip Schools today operate as general secondary education institutions where students can receive education in any field they want. This evolution has been shaped in parallel with the changes brought about by religious education discussions and the expectations in society. In short, students enrol in İmam Hatip Schools for various reasons not only to become religious officials or dignitaries. In this context, this research aimed to examine the reasons why Imam-hatip high school students prefer Imam-hatip high schools. The research was conducted with 314 participants, 205 girls and 109 boys. As a data collection tool, the information collection form used in the master's thesis titled Factors Affecting the School Choices of Imam Hatip Students by Esra Nur Erikoğlu in 2019 was used during the data collection process, with the necessary permissions.
