Publication: Mustafâ el-Bekrî’nin İbn Meşîş salavâtı şerhleri üzerine bir inceleme
Abstract
Mustafa b. Kemâleddin el-Bekrî’nin (ö. 1162/ 1749) Abdüsselâm b. Meşîş elHasenî’nin (ö. 625/ 1228) salavâtı üzerine yazdığı şerhleri, söz konusu şerhlerden Kürûmu arîşi’t-tehânî fi’l-kelâm alâ salavâti İbn Meşîşi’d-dânî isimli eserin içeriğini ve Ali Vasfî b. Hüseyin en-Nakşibendî’nin (ö. 1314/ 1896) Kürûmu arîşi’t-tehânî tercümesini konu alan bu çalışma üç bölüm ve bir ekten oluşmaktadır. “Mustafâ b. Kemâleddin el-Bekrî ve İbn Meşîş Salavâtı Üzerine Yazdığı Şerhler” başlıklı birinci bölümde Bekrî’nin tasavvuf tarihindeki yeri ve vird metinlerine yönelik ilgisi ele alınmıştır. İbn Meşîş salavâtı üzerine yazdığı şerhlerinin üslûp ve içerik özellikleri değerlendirilmiş olup şerhlerin nüshaları ve neşirleri hakkında literatür bilgisine yer verilmiştir. “Kürûmu arîşi’t-tehânî’nin Kaynakları ve İçeriği” başlıklı ikinci bölümde Bekrî’nin bu şerhi kaleme alırken kullandığı kaynaklar ve öne çıkardığı kavramsal vurgular incelenmiştir. “Ali Vasfî Bey ve Kürûmu arîşi’t-tehânî Tercümesi” başlıklı üçüncü bölümde ise Ali Vasfî Bey’in biyografisine ve eserlerine dair bilgiler aktarıldıktan sonra onun salavât şerhlerini bir araya getirdiği mecmuası tanıtılmış, İbn Meşîş salavâtına dönük ilgisi ve Bekrî’nin şerhini tercüme etme gerekçesi ele alınmış, yaptığı tercümede içeriğe yönelik katkıları, diğer şârihlere atıfları ve farklılaştığı noktalar tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca söz konusu tercümenin çeviri yazısı sunulmuştur. “Ali Vasfî Bey’in İstinsahına Göre Kürûmu arîşi’t-tehânî Metni” başlıklı ekte ise Bekrî’nin eseri mevcut neşir denemelerinde gözlemlenen aksaklıklar nedeniyle Ali Vasfî Bey’in istinsahı esas alınarak hazırlanan metin sunulmuştur.
This study consists of three chapters and an appendix, focusing on the commentaries written by Mustafa ibn Kamal al-Din al-Bakri (d. 1162 AH / 1749 CE) on the Salawat (invocations of blessings upon the Prophet) of Abd al-Salam ibn Mashish alHasani (d. 625 AH / 1228 CE). In particular, it examines the content of one of these commentaries –Kurumu Arish al-Tahani fi al-Kalam ala Salawati Ibn Mashish al-Dani– and its translation by Ali Vasfi ibn Husayn al-Naqshbandi (d. 1314 AH / 1896 CE). The first chapter, titled “Mustafa ibn Kamal al-Din al-Bakri and His Commentaries on Ibn Mashish’s Salawat”, examines al-Bakri’s role in the history of Sufism and his interest in wird (spiritual litanies) texts. It evaluates the stylistic and substantive features of his commentaries on Ibn Mashish’s Salawat and provides bibliographical information on the copies and editions of these commentaries. The second chapter, titled “Sources and Content of Kurumu Arish al-Tahani”, explores the sources al-Bakri used in compiling this commentary and the conceptual themes he emphasized. The third chapter, titled “Ali Vasfi Bey and the Translation of Kurumu Arish al-Tahani”, presents information on Ali Vasfi Bey’s biography and works, introduces his collection of commentaries on Salawat, discusses his interest in Ibn Mashish’s Salawat and his reasons for translating al-Bakri’s commentary, and identifies his contributions to the content, his references to other commentators, and points of divergence. The translation of the commentary is also included. The appendix, titled “Text of Kurumu Arish al-Tahani According to Ali Vasfi Bey’s Manuscript Copy”, presents the text prepared based on Ali Vasfi Bey’s manuscript copy, due to issues observed in existing attempts to publish al-Bakri’s work.
