Narrative terapi temelli grupla psikolojik danışma sürecinin çocuklarda benlik saygısı düzeyine etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Narrative Terapi Temelli Grupla Psikolojik Danışma Sürecinin Çocuklarda Benlik Saygısı Düzeyine Etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma, 2024-2025 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul Bahçelievler ilçesinde öğrenim gören 10-12 yaş aralığındaki öğrencilerle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen ve tamamı erkek öğrencilerden oluşan 18 kişilik bir grupla yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama sürecinde, katılımcılardan kişisel bilgi formu doldurmaları istenmiş ve benlik saygısı düzeylerini belirlemek için Çocuklar için Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Deneysel desen ile yürütülen bu çalışmada, Narrative Terapi Temelli Grupla Psikolojik Danışma sürecinin uygulandığı bir deney grubu ile herhangi bir müdahalenin yapılmadığı bir kontrol grubu yer almıştır. Araştırma sonuçları; Narrative Terapi temelli grupla psikolojik danışma süreci sonrasında, kontrol grubunda yer alan çocukların benlik saygısı puanlarında anlamlı bir farklılık oluşmazken deney grubunda yer alan çocukların benlik saygısı düzeylerinde yüksek düzeyde anlamlı bir artış olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Böylelikle, bu çalışmada geliştirilip uygulanan Narrative Terapi temelli grupla psikolojik danışma sürecinin çocuklarda benlik saygısı düzeyini geliştirme amacıyla çocuk ruh sağlığı çalışmalarında etkili biçimde kullanılabilir olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, The Effect of Narrative Therapy-Based Group Counseling Process on the Level of Self-Esteem in Children was examined. The research was carried out with students between the ages of 10-12 studying in the Bahçelievler district of Istanbul in the 2024-2025 academic year. The study was conducted with a group of 18 students, all of whom were boys, selected by purposive sampling method. During the data collection process, the participants were asked to fill out a personal information form and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale for Children was used to determine their self-esteem levels. In this study, which was conducted with an experimental design, there was an experimental group in which Narrative Therapy-Based Group Counseling was applied and a control group in which no intervention was applied. The results of the study revealed that after the Narrative Therapy-based group counselling process, there was no significant difference in the self-esteem scores of the children in the control group, while there was a highly significant increase in the self-esteem levels of the children in the experimental group. Thus, it was concluded that the Narrative Therapy-based group counselling process developed and implemented in this study can be used effectively in child mental health studies to improve the level of self-esteem in children.
