LNG’nin otomotiv sektöründe kullanımı

Abstract

Günümüzde içten yanmalı motorlarda kullanılan fosil kökenli yakıtların hızla tükenmekte olması ve bu yakıtların yanması sonucu oluşan zararlı egzoz gazlarının çevreyi kirletmeleri içten yanmalı motorlarda alternatif yakıt arayışlarını hızlandırmıştır. Bu çalışmada LNG'nin sahip olduğu özellikler ve içten yanmalı motorlarda kullanılabilirliği üzerinde durulmuştur. Doğal gaz içten yanmalı motorlarda doğal gaz motorları, doğal gaz ve çift yakıt(dizel-doğal gaz) sistemine dönüştürülmüş dizel motorları, doğal gaza dönüştürülmüş otto motorları olarak kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıca doğal gazın taşıtlarda depolanması ve depolama esnasında dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlar incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın son bölümlerinde ise çift yakıt (dizel+doğal gaz) ile çalışabilecek şekilde dönüştürülmüş bir dizel motorunun özellikleri incelenmiştir. Doğal gazın taşıtta depolama zorluğu göz ardı edilirse doğal gaz günümüzde en çok tercih edilen alternatif yakıt olarak kabul edilebilir. MAYIS - 2004 Mehmet ÖZASLAN

Nowadays fossil rooted fuels are used in the internal combustion engines being exhausted and taking form harmful exhaust gases conclusion of burning these fuels soiling environment have cause an increase of investigations about alternative fuels used in the internal combustion engines. In this study specifications of liquefied natural gas and its use, in the internal combustion engines are dwelled. Natural gas engines in the internal combustion engines used natural gas are used in two sorts, diesel engines converted to naturel gas and dual fuels (diesel + natural gas) system and otto engines converted to natural gas. Furthermore using natural gas in vehicles and particularities which must payed attention to in the course of storing are examined. Finally specifications of a diesel engine converted into dual fuels (diesel + natural gas) are examined. For this reason nowadays natural gas which is the second order fallen of harmful exhaust emission is prepared. MAY - 2004 Mehmet ÖZASLAN
