Şihabüddin es-Sühreverdi’nin felsefi hikayeleri

Abstract

Şihabüddîn Sühreverdî, İslam felsefesi tarihinde bilinen iki ana felsefî ekolden biri olan İşrâk felsefesinin kurucusudur. Onun kalemine ait farklı metotlarla yazılmış çok sayıda eser bulunmaktadır. Bu tez, filozofun felsefî hikâyelerindeki kullandığı sembolik dili açıklayarak burada bahsettiği felsefî temaları anlaşır hale getirmek ve onların filozofun diğer sistematik eserleri ile uyumluluğunu ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Tez Giriş, İki Bölüm ve Sonuç kısmından oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında konunun önemi, amacı, metodu ve kapsamı ortaya konulmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Sühreverdî’nin hayatı, tahsili, ilmi ve entelektüel şahsiyeti, ölümü, eserleri, düşünce gelişimi ve felsefî hikâyelerin genel hatlarıyla özellikleri çalışılmıştır. Hikâyelerde Semboller ve Açıklamaları başlıklı ikinci bölümde “Kozmolojik” ve “Psikolojik” semboller ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Konuyla ilgili genel değerlendirme ve ulaşılan sonuçlar ise Sonuç kısmında yer alır.

Shihabuddin Suhrawardi is a founder of the Ishrâq philosophy, one of two main schools of Islamic philosophy. There is a lot of works, written by him, using different methods. This dissertation aims to explain a symbolic language of philosophical stories in order to make clear mentioned themes and to explore their compatibility with his other systematic works. The dissertation consists of introduction, two following sections and conclusion. In the introduction is defined importance, goal of the topic, method and scope of exploration. İn the first section is presented biography, education, scientific and intellectual personality of Suhrawardi. Moreover, his works are studied in general terms here. In the second part titled “Symbols Used in The Stories and Their Descriptions” all symbols are divided to cosmological and psychological. General assessment refering to the subject is given in the conclusion.
