Coğrafya anlatım becerisinin bilgisayar destekli anlatımla geliştirilmesi

Abstract

BİLGİSAYAR DESTEKLİ ANLATIMLA GELİŞTİRİLMESİ Eğitim, bir ülkenin her alandaki gelişmesinin temelini oluşturan en önemli yapı taşlarından birisidir. Öyle ki ülkelerin sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik ve politik yapıları ile gelişmişlik düzeylerinin oluşmasında belirleyici faktör olan insan unsurunun yetişmesinde en büyük pay eğitime aittir. Bu yüzden hemen her ülke bugün eğitime mümkün olduğunca fazla kaynak ayırmakta ve eğitimin nasıl daha iyi verilebileceği konusunda çeşitli çalışmalar yürütmektedir. Eğitimde materyal kullanımı, öğretmeni desteklemesi ve eğitim-öğretimin daha anlamlı ve kalıcı olması açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. 21. yüzyıla adım attığımız şu günlerde, günlük hayatımızın vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelen bilgisayarlar, çok sayıda bilgiyi saklayabilme, işleyebilme, istenilen bilgiyi kısa bir sürede ortaya çıkarabilme ve görsel, işitsel ve interaktif özellikleriyle bilgiyi zengin bir biçimde sunabilme ile eğitim için büyük bir potansiyel oluşturmaktadırlar. Öğretimsel içerik veya faaliyetlerin bilgisayar kullanılarak anlatılması Bilgisayar Destekli Eğitim (BDE) olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Çalışmada, coğrafya anlatım becerisinin bilgisayar destekli anlatımla geliştirilmesi yolunda yapılması gerekenler ortaya koyulmaya ve bilgisayar kullanımına örnekler verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada, örnekleme metodu, anket metodu, istatistiksel metot ve benzer olayları karşılaştırma metodu kullanılmıştır. Belirtilen amacı gerçekleştirmek için iki ayrı anket kullanılmıştır. Bu anketlerden ilki öğrencilere diğeri ise öğretmenlere yönelik hazırlanmış ve İstanbul ili Silivri ilçesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı Silivri Lisesi'nde uygulanmıştır. Anketlerde bilgisayar destekli anlatım ile ilgili tutumu belirleyici sorulara cevaplar istenmiştir. Yapılan anketin MS Excel yardımı ile değerlendirilmesinin ardından Bilgisayar Destekli Eğitimin (BDE) Klasik Derse (KD) göre büyük avantajlar taşıdığı ve faydalar sağladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. BDE'nin faydaları sonuç bölümünde sıralanmıştır.

IMPROVING THE GEOGRAPHY TEACHING SKILL BY COMPUTER AIDED INSTRUCTION IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS Education is one of the building stones forming the foundation of a country's development in all areas. It has the biggest portion in growing up the human component that is an important factor for a country's social, cultural, economic and political structure. For that reason, almost all countries spend as much money as they can and study on some works about better education. Using supporting materials in education is an important topic for supporting the teachers and making the education more meaningful and lasting. Computers which have become an ordinary equipment of our life have a big educational potential of keeping, processing and presenting knowledge with their visual, auditory and interactive features. Explaining the educational contents and activities by using computers is called Computer Aided Intruction (BDE). In this study, the requirements for improving the geography teaching skill by computer aided instruction and the examples of previous works are tried to given. So, sample, questionnaire, statistical and comparison methods are used in the study. Two questionnaires (one for students and one for teachers) are used to reach the mentioned goals. They were applied in Silivri High School (of National Education Ministry) which is located in Silivri in İstanbul. In the questionnaires, opinions were asked about computer aided instruction. After the evaluation of the questionnaires by MS Excel, the computer aided instruction (BDE) was founded more advantageous and useful than the classical lecture (KD).
