Abstract

Tanzimat Dönemi yazarlarından Ahmet Midhat Efendi, kadın eğitimi ve kadın yazar yetişmesi konusunda önemli hizmetlerde bulunmuş, kendi devrinde eser veren kadın yazarları desteklemiştir. Fatma Aliye Hanım'a yazdığı mektuplar, onun bu yolda nasıl çaba sarf ettiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu yazıda Ahmet Midhat'ın kadın yazarların yetişmesi yolundaki faaliyetleri, Fatma Aliye Hanım'a yazdığı mektuplar etrafında değerlendirilecektir.
