Erasmus'un hıristiyanlık eleştirisi ve yeni ahit çevirisi (Novum Instrumentum)

Abstract

Erasmus (1466-1535), teolojik görüşleri ve eserleriyle yaşadığı dönemin en önemli hümanistlerinden birisi kabul edilmektedir. Teolojiye merak saldığı andan itibaren önemli çalışmalar yapan ve kiliseyi ilk zamanlardaki görkemli haline çevirmek için çaba sarf eden Erasmus, bu çabayı hayatının sonuna kadar sürdürmüştür. Bu doğrultuda en önemli eserlerinden birisi kabul edilen Novum Instrumentum’u ortaya çıkarmış ve tüm eleştirilere rağmen beş farklı baskıda düşüncelerini açıklamaya devam etmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Erasmus’un yaşadığı dönemin Hıristiyanlık anlayışına getirdiği eleştiriler ve bir çözüm olarak ortaya koyduğu Yeni Ahit çevirisi Novum Instrumentum incelenecektir.

Erasmus (1466-1535) is considered one of the most important humanists of his time with his theological views and works. Erasmus, who made important studies from the moment he became interested in theology and endeavoured to restore the church to its early glory, continued this endeavour until the end of his life. In this direction, he produced the Novum Instrumentum, which is considered one of his most important works, and despite all the criticisms, he continued to explain his thoughts in five different editions. In this study, Erasmus' criticisms of the Christianity of his time and his New Testament translation Novum Instrumentum, which he put forward as a solution, will be analysed.
