Publication: Tanzimat’tan Servet-i Fünun’a Türk romanında gerçekçilik anlayışları
Abstract
Bu tezin amacı, Türk romanında Tanzimat’tan Servet-i Fünun’a kadar geçen süreçte ortaya çıkan gerçekçilik anlayışlarını tespit etmektir. Çalışmada, belirlenen dönemde yayımlanmış romanlar incelenmiş, gerçekçiliğe ilişkin yönler tespit edilmiş, Türk romancılarının gerçekçilik anlayışlarını gösteren romanlar içerisinden bir örneklem seçilmiştir. Seçilen romanlar ve bu romanların yazarlarının kuramsal görüşleri tezin kapsamını oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada ortaya koyulan bulgulardan çıkan sonuç, Türk romanındaki gerçekçilik anlayışının gerçekçi tutumdan bir edebiyat akımının yöntemine doğru geliştiğidir. İlk Türk romanı örnekleri, kendilerine özgü gerçekçilik anlayışları ile yöntemsel olmayan bir gerçekçi tutumu içermiş, gerçekçilik akımının tanınmasıyla birlikte bu akıma özgü denemeler yapılmıştır. Bu denemelerin kaynağını Avrupa gerçekçiliğinden alan asıl örnekleri ise, Servet-i Fünun döneminde verilmiştir.
The aim of this thesis is to determine understandings of realism in Turkish novel from Tanzimat to Servet-i Fünun. In this study, the novels which are published in that period examined, the properties related to realism in these novels are identified. For that purpose a sample had been choosen, representing the Turkish novelists’ realism understandings. The conclusion that had drawned from the findings of the study is that, the understandings of realism in Turkish novel had developed from a realistic approach to a methodology of a literary movement. The examples of Turkish novels in the begining included a non methodological realistic approach. But after that period, especially with the recognition of realism movement, new attempts related to this movement had been made. But original examples of these attempts that take their source from European realism were exemplified in the Servet-i Fünun period.
