Publication: Lisanslı basketbol geçmişi olan bireylerin, spor yaşantılarını sürdürme biçimlerinde mükemmeliyetçilik ve hedef yönelimlerinin etkisi ve yaşam doyum düzeyleri
Abstract
Amaç: Geçmişte altyapı kategorilerinde lisanslı basketbol oynayan bireylerin, basketbol yaşamlarına profesyonel/ amatör düzeyde devam etmeleri ya da sonlandırmalarında, mükemmeliyetçilik ve hedef yönelimi ve sosyodemografik değişkenlerin etkisini ve yaşam doyum düzeylerini belirlemek. Gereç ve Yöntem: Kulüplerde lisanslı basketbol geçmişi olup, amatör kulüplerde, profesyonel kulüplerde devam eden ve basketbolu bırakan/ yalnızca hobi olarak sürdüren 150 katılımcıya, Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği, Yaşam Doyum Ölçeği ile Sporda Görev ve Ego Yönelimi Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. One-Way Anova ve Pearson Korelasyon analizleri uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Basketbol yaşantısını sürdürme biçimleri ile mükemmeliyetçilik, hedef yönelimi ve yaşam doyum düzeyleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunamamışken, sürdürme biçimlerinin mükemmeliyetçilik alt boyutlarından bazıları ve hedef yönelimi türleri ile ilişkili oldukları bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların ortalamanın üzerinde yaşam doyumu ve mükemmeliyetçiliğe sahip oldukları ve ego ve görev yöneliminin pozitif ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuçlar: Basketbolu bırakanlarda ego yöneliminin olumsuz mükemmeliyetçilik ile ilişkili olması, altyapılarda görev yönelimlerinin desteklenmesinin, sporu bırakmayı engellemede önemli olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Sporu sürdürme ile ilişkili değişkenlere yönelik boylamsal düzeyde farklı spor dalları ve kontrol gruplarıyla yapılacak araştırmaların, bulguları daha anlamlı kılacağı düşünülmektedir.
Objective: To determine the effect of goal orientation types, perfectionism and life satisfaction levels and sociodemographic variables on the individuals who played licensed basketball in the past, to continue their basketball life at a professional / amateur level or dropped basketball.Matherial and Method: The sample of the study consists of a licensed basketball history, a total of 150 participants, who continue at the amateur or professional level or dropped basketball / continue as a hobby. Task and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire, Multidimensional Perfectionism Questionnaire and Life Satisfaction Scale were used to collect data. One-Way Anova and Perason Correlation Analyses were used. Results: No significant differences between goal orientation types, perfectionism, life satisfaction levels and sport contiunation types of participants. It was found that the ways of sport continuation are related to some of subdimensions of both the perfectionism and goal orientation. Also participants were found to have above average life satisfaction and perfectionism. It was concluded that ego orientation and task orientation dimensions are in a positive relationship with each other.Conclusion:It is thought that the correlation of ego orientation with negative perfectionism dimensions in athletes who dropped basketball, supporting the task orientation of adolescent players may be one of the important factors that can prevent them from quitting sports. It is thought that longitudinal studies and the results to be obtained from researches with different branches and control groups will make the findings more meaningful.
