Türkiye’de demokrasinin gelişmesine ve seçim sonuçlarına yazılı basının etkisi

Abstract

Türkiye'de 1923- 2002 döneminde yazılı basının demokrasinin gelişimi ve seçim sonuçlarına etkisi incelenmiştir.Türkiye'nin Yazılı basının etkisini sınırlayan faktörler arasından,basın özgürlüğünü kısıtlayan yasalar, demokrasinin dört kez askeri müdahale sonucu kesintiye uğraması ve bunun sonucunda ortaya çıkan siyasi iktidarsızlık, okuma-yazma oranının Avrupa ülkelerine göre düşük seviyede olması ve seçmen nüfusu otuz beş milyon olmasına rağmen tirajin sadece dört milyon civarında olması gibi faktörlerin sonucunda yazılı basının etkisinin sınırlandırıldığı açıklanmıştır. The impact of press on the development of democracy and the results of elections between the years 1923-2002 has been surveyed with this thesis. Law restricting the press freedom, the discontinuity of democracy due to four strikes of the military and the political unstableness, the proportion of illiterate people when compared to European countries and the fact that there are almost 10 times more people than the number of newspaper circulation are the factors that limit the effect of the press.
