Abstract
In this dissertation study, a valuable feedback from the own implementation experience of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Planning (SCP) System to the concept of these system is aimed. The conceptual explanations are presented in the initial sections of the study. ERP was explained with my own words. After that, the results of a questionnaire survey study are presented. The purpose of the survey was revealing the problems relevant to the implementation of these systems. This questionnaire survey study is one of the contributions of this dissertation study. In the next section, a SCP conceptual tool is proposed to overcome the problems acquired via questionnaire survey and personal implementation experience of these system as a consultant. This is the most important contribution of the dissertation. This tool is given with Supply Chain Resources Planning (SCRP) name. The proposed features are grouped within 14 headings and in each heading; the solution proposals to the current problems are presented. In the following section, the SCRP tool conformance to Value Net approach, which is the future of SCP, is presented. This is also one of the contributions in the study. After that, SCRP Tool was implemented to an abroad operations of multinational company. Simulative data was used in this implementation and the same data was also implemented to the ERP and SCP systems. The results were compared and the improvement gained via SCRP tool was presented. SCRP tool potential implementation cost versus improvement gain comparison was also presented. Enterprise Resources Planning, Supply Chain Management, Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Value Net, SCOR Model. Science Code: July, 2004Aydın Arslancan
