Sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sanal müze kullanımına yönelik tutumları

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı okullarda Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sanal müze kullanım düzeyini ve bu teknik konusunda sahip oldukları tutumları belirlemektir. İlkokul ve Ortaokul öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler konularını teknolojik imkân ve zaman ölçüsünde daha iyi özümsemeleri için sanal müze uygulamasını kullanmaları gerekmektedir. Bunu için de öncelikle öğretmenlerin rehber olmak ve ardından öğrencileriyle beraber sanal müzeyi kullanabilmesi için bunun farkında olup bu etkinliği özümsemesi gerekmektedir.Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sanal müze kullanımına yönelik tutumlarının belirlendiği bu araştırma karma yöntemle gerçekleştirilmiştir.İstanbul'un farklı ilçelerinden toplam 126 (yüz yirmi altı) öğretmene anket uygulanmıştır. Anket sorularını cevaplayanlar arasından seçilen 13 (on üç) öğretmenle yüz yüze görüşme yapılmıştır.“Sanal Müze Kullanımına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” (Peker, 2014) tarafından geliştirilen toplam 21 maddeden oluşan 5'li Likert tipi (kesinlikle katılıyorum, katılıyorum, kararsızım, katılmıyorum, kesinlikle katılmıyorum) bir ölçek kullanılmıştır.Yapılan araştırmalar sonucunda:Katılımcıların sanal müze kullanımına yönelik toplam puan incelendiğinde madde başı ortalamanın 1,99 olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda, katılımcıların sanal müze kullanımına yönelik algılarının yüksek olduğu görülmektedir.Cinsiyet değişkeni göz önüne alındığında kadınların ortalamasının, erkeklerin ortalamasından düşük olduğu görülmektedir. Ancak yapılan t-testi sonucunda kadınlar ve erkekler arasından anlamlı bir farkın olmadığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca mesleki kıdem, yaş eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerinde de anlamlı farkın olmadığı görülmüştür.

The purpose of this study is to identify the usage level of virtual museum among Social Studies teachers at school and their attitudes towards this technique. It is crucial for both primary and secondary schools students to use virtual museum application in order to internalize social studies better within the limits of time and technologic opportunities. Awareness and internalization of the application by teachers are very important as teachers will guide the students and use the virtual museum application with them.This research, in which the attitudes of Social Studies teachers towards the virtual museum usage has been carried out via mixed method.A questionnaire has been applied to 126 (one hundred and twenty-six) teachers from different districts of Istanbul. Face to face interviews have been made with 13 of the chosen respondents.“Attitude Scale Towards Usage of Virtual Museum” which has been developed by Peker in 2014 is used as a scale in this study. It is a five point likert type rating scale which is composed of 21 items (Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree).The result of the research:When the total score of the participants’ attitude towards the usage of the virtual museum analyzed, it has been seen that the average per item is 1, 99. In this context, it is seen that the participants’ perception towards usage of virtual museum is high. When the sex variable is taken into account, it is seen that the average of women is lower than ofmen. Nevertheless, at the end of the t-test it has been seen that there is not a significant difference between women and men. Also, it has been seen that there is not a significant difference among the variables of professional seniority, age and educational level.
