Publication: Suriyeli göçmenlerin anaakım medyada temsili
Abstract
Medya düşüncelerimizi ve kanaatlerimizi şekillendirmektedir. Haber toplumsal gerçekliği söylem ve temsil yoluyla yeniden inşa etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Suriyeli göçmenlerin Türkiye’deki anaakım medyada nasıl bir söylemle temsil edildiği incelenmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, anaakım medyada yer alan en yüksek tirajlı gazeteler olan Hürriyet Gazetesi, Sözcü Gazetesi, Posta Gazetesi ve Cumhuriyet Gazetesi seçilmiştir. Seçilen gazeteler 1 Ocak 2016-15 Temmuz 2017 zaman aralığında taranmıştır. Seçilen bu dört gazetenin her birinden beş adet örnek haber alınmıştır. Bu haberler eleştirel söylem analizi yöntemine göre analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Haberlerde Suriyeli göçmenlerle ilgili kullanılan söylemler dikkate alınarak medyada nasıl temsil edildikleri ortaya konulmuştur. Bulunan bulgularla Türkiye’de anaakım medyada Suriyeli göçmenlerin temsilinin panoraması sunulmuştur.
The media shapes our opinions and convictions. The news reconstructs social reality through discourse and representation. It is examined that how Syrian refugees are represented in mainstream media in this study. For this purpose, newspapers which are Hürriyet, Sözcü, Posta and Cumhuriyet as the highest circulation are choosen in the mainstream media. Chosen newspapers are analysed between 1 January 2016 and 15 July 2017. It ise selected five news from each of these newspapers and these news are evaluated according to discourse analysis. It is exhibited the news which are about Syrian refugees in term of considering discourse that is being used in the news. In the light of all evidence, the representation of Syrian refugees has been presented in the mainstream media in Turkey.
