Publication: Türkiye'de turizmin istihdam üzerine etkileri (turizm eğitimi üzerine bir örnek: Antalya)
Abstract
Turizm Eğitimi, Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Liseleri, Turizm, Turizm Ekonomisi, Turizm İstihdamı, İstihdam ÖZET TÜRKİYE’DE TURİZMİN İSTİHDAM ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ (TURİZM EĞİTİMİ ÜZERİNE BİR ÖRNEK: ANTALYA) Dünyada, özellikle II. Dünya Savaşı’ndan sonra büyük bir gelişme gösteren turizm sektörü, ülkelerin ekonomik sıkıntılar yaşadığı dönemlerde büyük bir döviz girdisi sağlayarak, dış ticaret açıklarının ve işsizliğin azaltılmasında kilit rol oynamaktadır. Turizm sektörü, ekonomik etkileri ve özellikle yarattığı istihdam olanakları dikkate alındığında Türkiye ekonomisine de önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma bize turizm sektörünün ekonomideki önemini ve Türkiye’nin ekonomik gelişmesindeki en önemli itici güçlerden biri olduğunu göstermektedir. Yine bu çalışmayla, ülkelerin turizm alanında rekabet güçlerini artıracak faktörlerden birinin yetişmiş işgücü olduğu, bu nedenle turizmde istihdam edilen işgücünün eğitiminin ve donanımının büyük önem taşıdığı; fakat turizm endüstrisinde insan emeğinin önemine rağmen; Türkiye’de eğitime ve gelişime çok az yer verildiği anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda; yaptığımız çalışmada, Türkiye’de turizm eğitiminin yapısının, öneminin, sorunlarının ve turizm istihdamına olan etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda; Türkiye’de önemli bir istihdam kaynağı olan turizm sektörüne ilişkin yeterli bir örgün eğitimin verilemediği ortaya çıkmış, örgün turizm eğitimi ile ilgili sorunlar tespit edilmiş ve bu sorunların aşılması için bazı çözüm önerileri üretilmiştir. EMPLOYMENT EFFECTS ON TOURISM IN TURKEY (THE TOURISM TRAINING ON AN EXAMPLE: ANTALYA) In the World, especially after the World War II, tourism sector shows a great development. During the period of the countries’s economic difficulties; tourism sector provided a large amount of foreign exchange input and played one of the key roles in reducing the foreign trade deficit and unemployment. The tourism sector had an important contribution on Turkey’s economy too when we take in hand the economic impacts and the created employment opportunities of it. This study shows us the tourism sector’s importance in the economy and it is one of the driving forces of Turkey's economic development. Yet with this work, countries’s one of the improvement factors in the competition in tourism sector is the trained labour, and because of this, education and the equipment of the labour employed in tourism sector is very important; but in the tourism sector instead of the importance of human work, Turkey has consumed very little effort on education and improvement. In this regard; we study to determine the Turkey’s tourism education’s structure, importance, problems and it’s effects to tourism employment. As a result of this study, we found out that despite the tourism sector’s importance on employment, there is no systematic education in Turkey; we stated the problems about the tourism education and produced some solutions to fix this problems.
