Abstract
Sanat ve edebiyat bir döneminin zihniyet yapısını anlamada araştırmacılara kaynaklık eden önemli bir alandır. Edebiyat zihniyet ve fikirlerin yazı vasıtasıyla somutlaştırılmasıdır. Bazı yazarlar düşüncelerini aktarmada edebi bir tür olan romanı bir araç olarak kullanmışlardır. Özellikle tarihi romanlar, yazar istesin istemesin ele aldığı dönemdeki fikir dünyasını yansıtır. Roman yazarı, bilimsel bir metni yazan kişiye göre romanın kurgusal dünyasında, toplum, siyaset ve ekonomik konulardaki fikirlerini söylemede daha özgürdür. Kemal Tahir’de Türk edebiyatında düşüncelerini aktarmada romanı araç olarak kullanan yazarlardan bir tanesidir. O Doğu-Batı çatışması teorisiyle ele aldığı Osmanlı-Türk toplumuyla ilgili bulgularını okuyucusuna romanları aracılığıyla aktarmıştır. Romanlarını tarihi bir arka plana dayandırmış ve geçmişe dönerek Türk toplumunun sorunlarını anlamaya çalışmıştır. Tezde Kemal Tahir’in romanları devlet, ekonomi ve insan çerçevesinde incelenmiş, Kemal Tahir’in sosyo-ekonomik düşüncelerinin, iktisat alanına yapacağı katkılar araştırılmıştır. Kemal Tahir’in romanlarında dile getirdiği düşüncelerden Osmanlı-Türk toplumunun sosyo-ekonomik sistemine kendine has bir tavırla yaklaştığı ortaya konulmuştur.
Art and literature are important tools for researchers in understanding the mentality of a time period. Literature is the concretization of mentality and ideas through writing. Some authors have used novels -as a literary genre- as a tool to convey their thoughts. Especially historical novels reflect the world of ideas of the period that the writer deals with, whether or not the writer wanted to. The novelist is more free to express her ideas about society, politics and economics in the fictional world of the novel than the person who wrote a scientific text. Kemal Tahir was one of the authors in Turkish literature, who use the novel as a tool to express his thoughts. He conveyed his findings about Ottoman-Turkish society, which he discussed on the basis of the theory of East-West conflict, to his reader through his novels. He based his novels on a historical background and tried to understand Turkish society by going back to the past. In this thesis, Kemal Tahir's novels were examined within the framework of state, economy and human. We aim to determine the contributions of Kemal Tahir's socio-economic thoughts to the Turkish economic thought. It is revealed from the thoughts expressed in this novels that Kemal Tahir approached with a unique attitude the socio-economic system of the Ottoman-Turkish society.
