Kimlik kavramına ahlaki bir bakış : ahlaki kimlik ölçeğinin geliştirilmesi ve psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırma temel motivasyonunu ahlaki kimlik düzeyini tespit etmeye yönelik daha önce geliştirilen ölçeklerden farklı bir kuramsal temele dayanan duygu, düşünce ve davranış alt boyutlarıyla kapsayıcı bir ölçme aracına ihtiyaç duyulmasından almaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı yetişkin bireylerin ahlaki kimlik düzeylerini belirlemeye yönelik geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 18-60 (xort=28,57; xss= 9,59) yaş aralığındaki yetişkin bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Öncelikle amaca yönelik olarak ilgili literatür taraması yapılmış olup daha önce hazırlanan ölçekler incelenmiştir. Nihai ölçeğin uygulanacağını hedef kitleden konu ile ilgili alınan bilgiler içerik analizine tabi tutularak aday maddeler oluşturulmuştur. Hazırlanan 104 maddeden oluşan taslak maddeler uzmanlara yönelik hazırlanan özel form ile en az doktora düzeyinde eğitimini tamamlayan ve ahlak ile ilgili çalışmaları olan on iki uzmana gönderilerek tekrar düzenlenmiştir. Uzman görüşleri dikkate alınarak seçilen maddeler yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Oluşturulan taslak ölçek ile veri toplama işlemine geçilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi aracılığıyla ölçeğin yapı geçerliği test etmek için kullanılmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda toplam varyansın %61,413’ünü açıklayan duygu, düşünce ve davranış alt boyutları olmak üzere 3 alt boyuttan oluşan 25 maddelik bir ölçme aracı elde edilmiştir. Bu yapı doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarıyla uyumluluk göstermiştir. Ölçüt bağımlı geçerlik analizi kapsamında Ahlaki Kimlik Ölçeği ile Ahlaki Bütünlük Ölçeği arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir (r=,44; p<,001). Ahlaki Kimlik Ölçeğinin toplam iç tutarlık katsayısı .94; “duygu” alt boyutu için .94, “düşünce” alt boyutu için .87, “davranış” alt boyutu için .84 olarak bulunmuştur. Yapılan bağımsız gruplar t testi sonucunda ölçeğin alt üst grup ayırt ediciliği saptanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Ahlaki Kimlik Ölçeğinin yetişkinlere hitap eden geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu bilimsel olarak kanıtlanmıştır.

The main motivation of this research is the need for an inclusive measurement tool with sub-dimensions of emotion, thought and behavior, which is based on a different theoretical basis than previously developed scales to determine the level of moral identity. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable scale to determine the moral identity levels of adults. The study group of the research consists of adult individuals between the ages of 18-60 (xm=28.57; xsd=9.59). First of all, the relevant literature was searched for the purpose and the previously prepared scales were examined. The information received from the target audience, on which the final scale will be applied, was subjected to content analysis, and candidate items were created. Draft items consisting of 104 items were sent to twelve experts who completed at least doctoral education and had studied on ethics, with a special form prepared for experts, and were rearranged. The selected items were rearranged based on expert opinions. The data collection process was started with the draft scale created. The data obtained were used to test the construct validity of the scale through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a 25-item measurement tool consisting of 3 sub-dimensions, emotion, thought and behavior sub-dimensions, which explains 61,413% of the total variance, was obtained. This structure was consistent with the confirmatory factor analysis results. Within the scope of criterion-dependent validity analysis, a positive and significant relationship was found between the Moral Identity Scale and the Moral Integrity Scale (r=.44; p<.001). The total internal consistency coefficient of the Moral Identity Scale was .94; It was found to be .94 for the “feeling” sub-dimension, .87 for the “thought” sub-dimension, and .84 for the “behavior” sub-dimension. As a result of the independent groups t-test, the lower-upper group discrimination of the scale was determined. As a result of the analyzes made, it has been scientifically proven that the Moral Identity Scale is a valid and reliable scale for adults.
