Abstract
OSMANLI MEDRESELERİNDE BİR ÖĞRETİM METODU OLARAK MÜNÂZARA VE AHMET CEVDET PAŞA’NIN ÂDÂB I SEDÂD ADLI ESERİ Öğretim ve öğrenim sürecinde kullanılan metodlar, bu süreç sonunda istenilen hedefe en kolay ve en kısa yoldan ulaşmak için son derece önemlidir. Günümüzde bilgi ve iletişim teknolojisindeki gelişmelerin paralelinde öğretim metodlarında da değişiklikler olmuştur. Ama geçmişten günümüze hala canlı olarak kullanılan öğretim metodları da vardır. Tartışma metodu ve münâzara da bunlardandır. Bugün de özellikle etkin bir öğretim için tavsiye edilen münâzara, Osmanlı medreselerinde tartışma âdâbı ve kurallarını içeren müstakil bir ilim ve ders olarak okutulmuştur. Ahmet Cevdet Paşa, Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminde yaşamış, tartışma âdâbı ve kuralları hakkında Âdâb-ı Sedâd min İlmi’l-âdâb adlı eseri yazmış, önemli ilim ve devlet adamlarımızdandır. Bu çalışmada tartışma metodu ve münâzaranın günümüz öğretim metodları arasındaki yeri ve Osmanlı medreselerinde bir ilim olarak değerlendirilmesi incelenmiştir. Ayrıca Ahmet Cevdet Paşa’nın hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra, onun Âdâb-ı Sedâd min İlmi’l-âdâb adlı eseri günümüz Türkçesine aktarılmıştır. Ek olarak Âdâb-ı Sedâd’ın aslının bir kopyası verilmiştir.
MUNÂZARA AS A TEACHİNG METHOD IN OTTOMAN COLLEGES AND AHMAD CAVDAT PASHA’S WORK NAMED ÂDÂB-I SADÂD Methods used in the process of education and learning are very important to reach to aims of the process by the easiest way. In modern times, important changes have happened in teaching methods in the paralel of developments in knowledge and communication technologies. But there are some teaching methods which are alive from the past to the present. The method of discussion namely “munâzara” is one of these methods. Munâzara which is also adviced in modern times especially for an effective teaching was the name of an independent science on the rules of discussion (âdâb) in Ottoman times and was taught regularly at colleges. Ahmad Cavdat Pasha is one of our important statesmen who lived during the last Ottoman period and wrote a book about the ways and rules discussion, named Âdâb-ı Sadâd min Ilm al-Âdâb. In this work, we aims to study the place of the method of discussion and Munâzara among modern teaching methods and also to deal with the Munâzara as a religious science in Ottoman colleges. After giving some knowledge about the life and works of Ahmad Cavdat Pasha, the work endures with the translation of his book Âdâb-ı Sadâd in to daily Turkish. A copy of the original book is given as an appendix in the end of the work.
