Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Müzik Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalı’nı kazanan öğrencilerin mezun oldukları lise türüne göre, giriş sınavı puanları ile müzik teorisi ve bireysel çalgı derslerindeki başarı puanlarının karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Müzik Eğitimi rencilerinin, giriş sınavı başarı puanları ile Müzik Teorisi ve İşitme Eğitimi dersi ve Bireysel Çalgı Eğitimi dersindeki puanlarını, geldikleri lise türüne göre karşılaştırmış ve sonuçlarını yorumlamıştır. Geldikleri lise türüne göre gruplara ayrılan öğrencilerin, öncelikle giriş sınavı müzik teorisi ve giriş sınavı bireysel çalgı puanları elde edilmiştir. Daha sonra ise okudukları dönem boyunca bireysel çalgı eğitimi ve müziksel işitme, okuma ve yazma derslerinden aldıkları puanların ortalamaları alınmıştır. Giriş sınavı puanlarında diğer liselerden gelenlere göre yüksek başarı gösteren Konservatuar mezunu öğrencilerinin, derslerdeki başarılarının düştüğü ama yine de diğer liselerden gelen öğrencilere göre daha başarılı oldukları gözlemlenmiştir. Bu öğrencilerin yarı zamanlı bile olsa konservatuarda aldıkları en az 4 senelik eğitimin, onların hem giriş sınavında hem de derslerde daha başarılı olmasına yardımcı olduğu sonucunu çıkartmıştır. 4 sene eğitim alan Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi mezunu öğrenciler ise; giriş sınavında çok başarılı olamamışlar ve aynı zamanda derslerde de gereken başarıyı gösterememişlerdir. Hatta bu öğrencilerin genel lise mezunu öğrenciler ile seviyelerinin neredeyse aynı olması çok şaşırtıcı bir durumdur. Genel lise mezunu öğrencilerin kendi çabalarıyla veya aldıkları kısa süreli özel derslerle bu sınavı kazandıkları düşünüldüğünde Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi mezunlarıyla aralarında çok fark olmaması, Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi mezunu öğrencilerin aldıkları eğitimin kalitesinin akıllarda soru işareti bırakmasına neden olmuştur. Ayrıca okula giren öğrencilerin ortalamalarının giriş sınavına göre her geçen dönem düşmesi de, bölümün ders programıyla ilgili sorunlarını gözler önüne sermektedir. Öğrencilerin özellikle üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıfta devamsızlıklarının artması, okuldan uzaklaştıklarını ve başka meşguliyetler bulduklarını göstermektedir. Araştırma; bölümdeki derslerin içeriği ve ders programlarının değişmesi gerektiğini vurgulamış ve öğrencilerin girdikleri seviyeden daha üst seviyelerde mezun olmaları ve devamsızlıklarının azalması için derslerde kur sisteminin uygulanmasını önermiştir.

This research study compares and comments the results of the entrance exam success points of Marmara University, Atatürk Education Faculty Fine Arts Education Department Music Education Main Art Discipline students to their respective points with Music Theory and Hearing Education course and Individual Instrument course with respective to the their high school origin. First the entrance examination music theory and individual instrument courses points of the students grouped according to the high schools they were graduated were derived, then the avarage points of the same they got from individual instrument education and musical hearing, reading and writing courses during the current term. It has been observed that such students graduated from conservatories consequently got higher points compared to those students coming from ordinary high schools decreased their successes however they are still more successful than those graduated from ordinary high schools. It has been concluded that the minimum 4 years of education that students received in conservatory, even though it was a half time education, helps them to become successful both in the entrance exams and during the courses as well. The students who graduated from Fine Art High School after 4 years of education, have not been very successful in the entrance exams and nor they show the required success in courses. It is also quite astonishing that the success of the these students is even the same compared with such students graduated from ordinary high schools. When we consider that the students graduated from ordinary high schools have been successful from this entrance exam due to solely their personal efforts or short private supporting courses, it consequently has raised a question mark in minds regarding to the quality of education, which the Fine Arts High School graduated students have received. Further the decrease observed in average points of the students admitted to the school compared to such points they got in the entrance exams, also displays explicitly the problems of the department with respect to the curriculum. Increase in being absence of attending to the courses by the students in third and fourth grades in particular, indicates they are digressed from the school and find other engagements than courses. The research; emphasizes changes are required to the contents of the department courses as well as curriculums and suggests an exchange system with the courses in order to accomplish them to graduate with a higher level then they entered and to decrease their being absence to courses
