Sanatın iç mimarlık eğitiminde tasarıma etkisi ve yaratıcı düşünce bağlamında bir yöntem olarak kullanılması

Abstract

İç mimarlık disiplini, diğer disiplinlerle olan yakın ilişkisi nedeniyle farklı bilgi alanlarıyla yakın ilişki içerisindedir. Disiplinlerarası öğrenmenin mevcut olduğu sistemlerde kazanılan yetkinlikler eğitiminin yapısını çok yönlü bir şekilde dönüştürerek, öğrencilere farkındalık, anlama ve uygulama düzeyinde çeşitlenen bilgiler doğrultusunda fayda sağlar. Bu nedenle, tasarım eğitiminde yaratıcı düşünceyi teşvik etmek için disiplinlerarası bir yaklaşım benimsemek oldukça önemlidir. Bu yaklaşım, öğrencileri sadece iç mimarlıkla sınırlı kalmayıp farklı alanlardan gelen bilgilerle sararak daha bütünsel bir bakış açısı kazanmalarına olanak tanır. Farklı kültür ve düşüncelerle derinleşen yapısıyla iç mimarlığın ilişki kurduğu disiplinlerden biri olan ‘sanat’ kavramsal iletinin önemli bir aracı olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, “iç mimarlık tasarım eğitiminde özgün üretimler için ihtiyaç duyulan yaratıcı düşünce, sanattan esin alarak desteklenebilir” düşüncesi ile bu tez çalışması ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, sanatın iç mimarlık eğitiminde yaratıcı düşünceye nasıl ve ne şekilde katkı sağlayabileceğini sorgulamaktadır. İç mimarlık, sanat ve yaratıcılık arasındaki ilişkiyi anlamak üzere; iç, içsellik, iç mekân ve iç mimarlık kavramlarının sanat ve tasarım alanında hangi özellikleri karşıladığı ve tasarımın şekillenmesinde hangi etmenlerin belirleyici olduğu araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacına yönelik olarak, çeşitli alanlarda yaratıcılığı ölçmek üzere esas alınan akıcılık, esneklik, orijinallik ve ayrıntılama bileşenlerine ilişkin geliştirilen adımlar doğrultusunda oluşturulan yeni bir tasarım yöntemi önerilmektedir. İlgili alanlarda gerçekleştirilen literatür araştırması ve çalışma kapsamında önerilen tasarım yöntemi doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilen tasarım araştırması sonucunda elde edilen veriler değerlendirilerek tasarım önerileri ve bu tasarım önerilerinin bir araya gelerek oluşturduğu mekân önerileri geliştirilmiştir. Bu araştırma kapsamında uygulanan yöntemin iç mimarlık tasarım eğitiminde öğrencilerin düşünme, tasarım ve uygulama pratiklerine olan katkısını ölçmek üzere yapılan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme verileri tartışılmıştır.

The discipline of interior architecture is in close relationship with different fields of knowledge due to its close relationship with other disciplines. The competencies gained in systems where interdisciplinary learning is present transform the structure of education in a multifaceted way, benefiting students in the direction of diversified knowledge at the level of awareness, understanding and application. Therefore, it is crucial to adopt an interdisciplinary approach in design education to encourage creative thinking. This approach allows students to gain a more holistic perspective by surrounding them with knowledge from different fields, not just limited to interior architecture. With its structure that deepens with different cultures and ideas, 'art', one of the disciplines that interior architecture relates to, stands out as an important tool of conceptual communication. In this context, this thesis study has been put forward with the idea that the creative thinking needed for original works in interior architecture design education can be supported by taking inspiration from art. The main purpose of this study is to question how and in what way art can contribute to creative thinking in interior architecture education. In order to understand the relationship between interior architecture, art and creativity, it is investigated which features the concepts of interior, interiority, interior space and interior architecture meet in the field of art and design and which factors are decisive in shaping the design. For the purpose of the study, a new design method is proposed in line with the steps developed in relation to the components of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration, which are taken as basis to measure creativity in various fields. By evaluating the data obtained as a result of the literature research conducted in the relevant fields and the design research conducted in line with the design method proposed within the scope of the study, design proposals and space proposals formed by these design proposals were developed. The semi-structured interview data conducted to measure the contribution of the method applied within the scope of this research to the thinking, design and application practices of students in interior architecture design education are discussed.
