Cavid Bey'in iktisadi düşüncesi ve uygulamaları

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Cavid Bey’in iktisadi düşüncesi ve I. Dünya Savaşı’na kadar olan dönemde önemli görülen uygulamaları konu edilmiştir. Yazdığı kitap ve makaleler, gönderdiği telgraflar da dâhil olmak üzere Cavid Bey’in tüm bibliyografyası, ayrıca yerli ve yabancı basın ile birlikte, arşiv belgeleri, yine dönemde kaleme alınan kimi hatırat, günlükler kullanılmak suretiyle, düşüncesinin kökenleri ve takip ettiği seyir incelenmiştir. Ayrıca 1908’den sonra aldığı görevler esnasında, hangi faaliyetleri gerçekleştirdiği, ne tür reformalara ağırlık verdiği de gösterilmeye çalışılan diğer bir husustur. Bu sayede, II. Meşrutiyet Dönemi’nin bu önemli devlet adamı, entelektüel, iktisatçısı olarak onun düşüncelerinin ve uygulamalarının izleri takip edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

This study focuses on Djavid Bey's economic thought and practices that were considered important in the period leading up to World War I. The origins of Djavid Bey's thought and the course he followed are analyzed by using his entire bibliography, including the books and articles he wrote, the telegrams he sent, as well as the local and foreign press, archival documents, some memoirs and diaries written during the period. In addition, it is also tried to show which activities he carried out and what kind of reforms he focused on during the duties he took after 1908. In this way, the traces of his thoughts and practices as an important statesman, intellectual and economist of the Second Constitutional Monarchy Period have been tried to be followed.
