Abstract

Bitim işlemi uygulanmış ev tekstili ürünlerine tasarımcı bakışı Tekstil ürünleri ilk insandan günümüze yaşamın büyük ve değerli parçası olmuştur. Giyim, büyük paydayı oluştursa da tekstil tıp, otomotiv, ev tekstili gibi pek çok sektörde varlığını sürdürmektedir. Tekstil; her daim kendini yenileyen, gelişen bir alandır. Tekstil sektöründe çeşitli bitim işlemleriyle bitmiş ürüne katma değer sağlanır. Kumaşa, elyafa fiziksel ve kimyasal bir takım işlemler uygulanarak kullanım kalitesini arttırmak ve bu sayede pek çok alanda fayda görmek mümkündür. Tez kapsamında, ev tekstili sektöründe kullanılan bitim işlemlerinin kullanım alanları ve genel özellikleri derlenmiş, kumaş üzerindeki görsel ve etkileri incelenmiştir. Tasarımcı bakış açısıyla bitim işlemlerinin ev tekstilindeki faydaları ve tasarımdaki etkileri incelenmiştir.

A designer’s perspective on home textile products with finishing treatment applied Textile products have been an essential and valuable part of human life since the earliest civilizations. Although clothing constitutes the major share of textile production, the field continues to play a vital role in various sectors such as medicine, automotive, and home textiles. Textiles represent a constantly evolving and self-renewing field. Through diverse finishing processes, added value is imparted to the final product. By applying various physical and chemical treatments to fibers and fabrics, it becomes possible to enhance their usability and performance, thereby increasing their benefits across multiple applications. Within the scope of this thesis, the application areas and general characteristics of finishing processes used in the home textile industry have been compiled, and their visual and functional effects on fabrics have been examined. From a designer’s perspective, the advantages of finishing treatments in home textiles and their influence on design have been analyzed.
