Vizonteleyle başlayan folk kültürünün popüler kültüre dönüşme süreci

Abstract

VİZONTELEYLE BAŞLAYAN FOLK KÜLTÜRÜNÜN POPÜLER KÜLTÜRE DÖNÜŞME SÜRECİ Yaşanan siyasal ve ekonomik gelişmeler her alanı olduğu gibi sinemayı da derinden etkilemiştir. 60’lı yıllarda altın çağını yaşayan sinema 70’lerde başlayan seks furyası ve ardından gelen 80’lerde yaşanan siyasal olaylarla ciddi anlamda zarar görmüştür. Sinema salonları sadık seyircisini kaybetmiştir. 1985 yılında başlayan video filmleri de sektörü ciddi anlamda sekteye uğratmış ve kaliteli film yerine daha çabuk çekilen ve daha hızlı tüketilen filmler bir anda sinema piyasasını işgal etmiştir. Gerçek Türk Sineması örnekleri ise gösterim için salon bulamamış ve sinemalar özellikle Amerikan filmlerinin istilasına uğramıştır. 90’larla birlikte yeni bir süreç başlar. Özel televizyonların kurulması, sinemaya gerçek anlamda kurulan vakıflar sayesinde yardımların yapılmaya başlanmasıyla birlikte Türk Sineması yeniden soluk alıp vermeye başlamıştır. Yeni yönetmenler, yeni senaryolar ve sinemaya verilen önemin artışı film sayısındaki artışı da beraberinde getirmiştir. 90’lı yıllarla birlikte çekilen filmler klasik Türk filmleri havasından kurtulmuş yenilikler birbirini takip etmeye başlamıştır. Ve Türk Sineması yıllardır özlediği seyircisine ilk defa Eşkıya ile kavuşmuştur. Eşkıya Türk Sineması için ciddi bir rekor ve yeni bir dönemin başlangıcı olmuştur. Türk Sineması Eşkıya ile birlikte yeniden izleyicisini sinema salonlarına çekmeyi başarmış, bu süreç Vizontele ile hız kazanmaya başlamıştır. Böylece sinemalar yeniden ailelerin mekanı haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada kitle iletişim araçlarının en güçlüsü olan televizyonla başlayan ve Vizontele serileriyle devam eden folk kültürün popüler kültüre dönüşme serüveni ele alınmıştır. THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS OF THE FOLK CULTURE TO POPULAR CULTURE WHICH STARTED WITH “VİZONTELE” The political and economical developments have influenced cinema deeply as well as all fields. The cinema which has lived its golden years during the sixties, suffered severely due to the sex boom starting at the beginning of seventies and the following political events during the eighties. Movie theaters lost their loyal audience. Video films, starting with 1985, impeded the sector in a serious sense and quick shot films in place of the high quality films and faster consumed films invaded the cinema market. Real Turkish cinema samples had a hard time finding theaters which were invaded by especially films of American origin. A new development started with the nineties. With the establishment of private television stations, together with the starting of funds provided with the establishment of foundations related with cinema in the real sense, the Turkish cinema started to breathe again. New directors, new scenarios and the increasing importance given to cinema brought together the increase in the number of films. Starting with the nineties, films produced recovered from the classical Turkish film style and innovations started to follow each other. The Turkish cinema reunited with its longed for audience, for the first time, with “Eşkıya”. Eşkıya has been a true record and starting point of a new era. Turkish cinema succeeded to attract its audience to theaters again with Eşkıya and this process started gaining speed with “Vizontele”. In this connection, movie theaters became the places for families again. In this study, the adventure of the transformation of folk culture to popular culture which started with television, the most powerful of mass communication means, and continued with the Vizontele series is investigated.
