| dc.description.abstract | AIM: This study was carried out to evaluate the status of pregnant women exposed to violence according to the trimesters and the effecting factors and the perinatal results. METHOD. In this descriptive study, the samples were consisted of totally 59 pregnant women who are definitely pregnant and over 10 weeks. The pregnant women were evaluated for total of 5 times as of 3 times during pregnancy and twice at postpartum. RESULTS: It was found that the majority of the pregnant women were the 25-29 age group and half of almost were primigravida. It was determined that during prgnancy %50.8 pregnant women were exposed to any type of violence and the very at the second trimester they experienced mostly emotional and verbal violence. The physical violence was found to be low and minimal at the third trimester. Basically all the violent behavior decreased during last trimester and increased after the 6th month of delivery. It was found that the women experienced violence in any period of her life and previous pregnancy and experiencing violence current pregnancy were exposed to more violence after delivery. It was not found a striking feature in respect to perinatal risks but all the prematüre births were found to be pregnant women expose to violence during pregnancy. CONCLUSION: Pregnant women were experienced mostly emotional and verbal violence and this case increased at the second trimesters, it was useful to study the postpartum period in regard to violence, the violence level was not the level of increasing the perinatal risks but it was concluded to make a detailed study from the point of premature birth. | |
