Toplumsal bellek ve sinema: Yeşilçam'dan günümüze Ermeni sinemacılar

Abstract

Hatırlamak, insanın ve toplumun en temel gereksinimlerinden biridir. Geçmişi hatırlamak, bugün ve yarın arasında bağlantı kurmamızı sağlar. Geçmiş ve ona dair algımız şimdiki zamanın gereksinimlerinden doğar ve şekillenir. Buna bağlı olarak bellek, insanın tarih bilincini oluşturur. Geçmişin yeniden oluşturulmasında ve toplumsal belleğin inşasında kültür, kültür endüstrisi, medya ve sinema arasında organik bir bağ vardır. Kitle İletişim Araçları dünyaya bakışımızı biçimlendirir. Sinema sanat olmanın ötesinde aynı zamanda bir kitle kültürü ürünüdür. Üretildikleri dönemi yansıtan filmler, bellek bankası olarak işlev görürler. Filmler sosyo-kültürel ürünler olduğu için dünyaya ilişkin algı ve anlamlandırmamızı yönlendirirler ve toplumsal belleğin gelişiminde önemli bir rol oynarlar. Bu tez çalışmasında, toplumsal belleğin oluşumundaki temsillerin sinemadaki sunum şekilleri ve Yeşilçam’dan günümüze kadar sinemamıza emek vermiş Türkiyeli Ermeni sinemacılar ele alınmıştır.Remembering is one of the most basic needs of society. Remembering the past provides connection between today and tomorrow. Past and our perception of past arise from and get shaped by nowadays’ needs. Therefore memory constitutes the human’s perception of history. While rebuilding the past and social memory there is an organic connection among the culture, culture industry, media and cinema. Mass medium shape our perspective of world. Beyond being an art, cinema is a production off mass culture. Movies reflecting the period they are produced function as a bank of the memory. As movies are socioculturel products, they direct our perception of world and giving meaning to it. They play an important role in the progress of social memory. In this thesis, ways of display in the cinema of the representations in the formation of social memory and Armenian moviemakers working for our cinema from Yesilcam to nowadays are handled.
