John Cage'in yaratıcılığı ve indeterminizim

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın konusu “John Cage‟in Yaratıcılığı ve İndeterminizmdir”.Bu çalışmada, John Cage‟in doğumundan ölümüne kadar olan yaşantısındaki gelişmeler ile Cage‟in eserleri ve eserlerinin bestelenmesi sürecinde kullandığı belirsizlik ve şans faktörlerinin müzikal yaratıcılığındaki önemi üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmada ayrıca, indeterminizmin ortaya çıkmasından önce var olan determinist düşünce biçimi, ardından indeterminizmin kuantum teorisi ile ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Bununla birlikte indeterminizmin müzikte kullanılması, John Cage‟in müzikal yaratıcılığını etkileyen unsurlardan biri olan I Ching ile birlikte belirsizliğin; John Cage‟in eserleri üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir.

This study focuses on the creativity of John Cage and indeterminism.In this study, John Cage‟s life is scrutinized with a special focus on the importance of indeterminacy and chance in the creativity of Cage. The study also touches on the philosophy of determinism that had existed before indeterminism emerged as well as the relationship between the philosophy of indeterminism and quantum theory. In this regard, the concept of indeterminacy and the I Ching that had quite a big impact on Cage‟s creativity are examined and their effect on Cage‟s works is evaluated.
