Türkiye'de 1960 sonrası siyasal dönüşümlerin fotoğraf iklimi üzerindeki yansımaları

Abstract

Birtakım teknik süreçler dizgesi olarak dış dünyada olan bitenin kaydını tutan fotoğraf, aynı zamanda kamera arkasında duran aklın, gözle görünür bir kılığa bürünerek kendini ortaya koymasına olanak tanır. Sayfalarını çevirmekte olduğunuz bu metinde, yüz seksen yıllık tarihi boyunca fotoğrafın, çeşitli biçimlerde işleyen akılların ve savunulan ideolojilerin ürünü olmasından yola çıkılarak, yaşadığımız coğrafyadaki yol haritasına bakılmıştır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti bulunduğu coğrafyanın da etkisiyle, kuruluşundan bu yana farklı politik görüşlerin dönemsel olarak yükseldiği, bu durumun etkilerinin sosyal yaşamından sanatına, kültürüne, ekonomisine, dış ilişkilerine yansıdığı bir ülkedir. Hâkim ideolojiler ve kültür ortamı dönüştükçe ülke için henüz yeni bir alan olan fotoğrafın bugüne gelene dek karşılaştığı önemli kilometre taşlarını doğru anlamak, tezin temel amacıdır. Metnin hazırlanmasında, çok partili dönemi izleyen süreçle birlikte 1960 sonrası politik dönüşümlere dair inceleme ve araştırmalar önemli yer tutarken, özellikle 12 Eylül ile yaşanan geçiş sürecine tanıklık etmiş ya da ardından gelen iklimde el yordamıyla yolunu bulmaya çalışmış fotoğrafçılarla röportajlar yapılmıştır. Ülkedeki pek çok fotoğrafçının, röportajlarda anlatılanlara benzer şekilde kişisel arayışlarını sürdürdüğü bir ortamda arzumuz, Türkiye fotoğrafının bugününü anlayabilmek için öncesini, nedenleri ve sonuçlarıyla birlikte irdelemektir.

The photograph keeps track of what happens in the outside world as a set of technical processes. It also allows the mind behind the camera to reveal itself in a visible manner. In this text, we have looked at the road map of photography in our geography as a result of the fact that photography has been the product of the minds and defended ideologies that operate in various ways throughout the hundred and eighty years of history. The impact of the geography of the Republic of Turkey is found, the organization has remained under the influence of different political views periodically. The effects of this situation are reflected in the art, culture, economy and external relations of social life. The main aim of this thesis is to understand the important milestones faced by photography, which is a new area for the country as it is today, as the dominant ideologies and cultural environment are transformed. The political transformations after 1960 following the multiparty period took an important place in the research and development of the text. In particular, interviews were made with photographers who had witnessed the transition process on September 12 or tried to find their way in the following climate. Today, many photographers in the country, like the ones described in the interviews, continue their personal search. In order to understand the current state of Turkey photo in this environment, we aim to analyze the causes and consequences with history.
