Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin derslerindeki öğrenci başarısını etkileyen unsurlara ilişkin görüşleri

Abstract

Sosyal Bilgiler dersi, demokratik bir toplumda etkin bir vatandaş olabilmek için sahip olunması gereken nitelikleri öğrencilere kazandırmak amacıyla verilmektedir. Bu amaca ulaşabilmeyi veya öğrencilerin Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik başarısını etkileyen pek çok unsur bulunmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı 6. ve 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler dersi başarısını olumsuz etkilen unsurların öğretmenler tarafından belirlenmesidir. Nitel araştırma modelinde gerçekleştirilen çalışmada örneklem tipik durum örneklemesine göre belirlenmiştir. Sakarya ilinde görevli 35 sosyal bilgiler öğretmenine uygulanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan elde edilen veriler betimsel analize tabi tutulmuştur.

Social Studies course has an aim of students’ gaining basic knowledge, skills and values in democratic society as effective citizens. There are a lot of factors affecting students’ achievements in social studies course. The aim of this research is determination of the negative factors affecting 6th and 7th grade students’ social studies achievement by teachers. This study is based on qualitative research model and sampling is determined according to typical situation sample methods. The data reached by using semi-structured interview form from 35 social studies teachers in Sakarya is reported according to descriptive analysis procedure.
