‘Senede Bir Gün’ filmi bağlamında Hatay’dan Suudi Arabistan’a emek göçünün toplumsal yansımaları

Abstract

Belgeselci; toplumsal bir sorunu ve o sorunun altında yatan gerçeği araştırıp onu, estetik olma kıstasıyla birlikte insanların duygularına da hitap edecek şekilde tasarlar. Yapılan politik ve estetik tercihler, belgeseli öznel bir pratiğe dönüştürse de belgeselci, gerçeği ararken bir bilim insanı gibi; o gerçeği sinemasal bir dile ve forma dönüştürürken ise bir sanatçı gibi hareket eder. Bu çalışmada, sözü edilen bilimsel ve yaratıcı çalışmalarla bir belgesele dönüştürülmesi amaçlanan gerçek: Türkiye’nin Hatay ilinden Suudi Arabistan’a yapılan emek göçü ve bu göçün sonuçlarıdır. Türkiye’den Yurtdışına yapılan göç çalışmalarına bakıldığında bunların neredeyse tamamının Batı ülkelerine yapılan göçlerle ilgili olduğu görülmekte; Suudi Arabistan’a yapılan göçler ve bunun, başta aile parçalanması olmak üzere, yol açtığı sonuçlar ile ilgili araştırmalar çok kısıtlı kalmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı bu göçün yol açtığı sonuçlarla ilgili bilgi üretmek ve bu bilgileri bir sanat ürünü olarak “Senede Bir Gün” adlı özgün bir belgesele dönüştürmektir. Çalışmada, konunun kuramsal çerçevesinin yanı sıra zihinde belirlemeye başlayan bir fikrin tamamlanmış bir belgesele dönüşmesine kadar uzanan süreç, ayrıntılı bir şekilde ortaya konmuştur. Bu çalışmanın bir bütün olarak hem araştırmacı hem de uygulayıcılara farklı bir bakış açısı sunması beklenen etkiyi oluşturmaktadır.The documentary filmmaker investigates the truth underlying a social problem and designs it in a way that appeals to people's emotions as well as being aesthetic. Although the political and aesthetic choices made turn the documentary into a subjective practice, the documentarian acts like a scientist when searching for the truth, and like an artist when transforming that truth into a cinematic language and form. In this study, the truth, which is aimed to be transformed into a documentary through the aforementioned scientific and creative works: The labour migration from Hatay province of Turkey to Saudi Arabia and the consequences of this migration. When we look at the studies on migration from Turkey to abroad, it is seen that almost all of them are related to migration to Western countries; research on migration to Saudi Arabia and its consequences, especially family breakdown, remains very limited. The aim of this study is to produce information about the consequences of this migration and to transform this information into an original documentary titled One Day a Year as a work of art. In the study, in addition to the theoretical framework of the subject, the process of transforming an idea that starts in the mind into a completed documentary is presented in detail. The expected effect of this study as a whole is to offer a different perspective to both researchers and practitioners.
