Publication: Beş haftalık mobil uygulama destekli öz düzenleme çalışmasının sporcuların psikobiyososyal durumları üzerine etkisi
Abstract
Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of self-regulation training supported by the mobile application which was developed by researchers of this study on the psychobiosocial states of football players. For this purpose, two studies were carried out in stages. Accordingly, the adaptation of the State Psychobiosocial States Scale (PBS-ST), which was not adapted in Turkish culture in the first study; In the second study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of self-regulation training supported by the mobile application which was developed by researchers of this study on the psychobiosocial states of football players. Methods and Material: In the first study, 189 athletes involved in various sports branches were included in the sample. In the second study, 20 football players were included in the sample for the experimental and control groups. In both studies, Psychobiosocial States Scale Trait Version (PBS-ST) and personal information form were used as data collection tools. Findings: The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) results in Study 1 were found to be in concordance with the original model. A significant difference was found between functional and dysfunctional PBS test outcomes before and after the study in athletes who completed self-regulation training supported by the mobile application. In the control group, no differences were found between the functional and dysfunctional PBS test outcomes before and after the study. However, it was revealed that the experimental group showed a significant difference in terms of their scores, but did not show a significant difference when compared to the control group. Conclusion: When the results of Study 1 are evaluated; it is a valid and reliable measurement tool for Turkish Athletes; When the results of study 2 are evaluated, it can be said that technological support is effective and can be used through mobile applications in the regulation of psychobiosocial states.
