Publication: Risale-i Mi’mariyye’de kavramlar ve terminoloji
Abstract
“Risale-i Mi’mariyye’de Kavramlar ve Terminoloji” adlı bu tezin konusunu 17. YY’da Cafer Çelebi tarafından yazılmış Risale-i Mi’mariyye adlı eser oluşturmaktadır. Bu eser ağırlıklı olarak Sedefkâr Mehmet Ağa’nın hakkında bilgiler ve tezimizin de ana bölümünü oluşturan mimari terminolojiyi içermektedir. Tez, yedi ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş adlı birinci bölümde konunun niteliği, araştırma ve yayınlar, metod ve düzen olmak üzere üç alt başlık yer almaktadır. 17. YY’da Osmanlı Devleti’ne ve Osmanlı Mimarisine Genel Bakış adlı ikinci bölümde 17. YY’da Osmanlı Devleti’nin siyasi, kültürel, ekonomik ve askeri durumu hakkında bilgi verilmiş ve sonrasında ise 17. YY. Osmanlı mimarisinden bahsedilmiştir. Risale-i Mi’mariyye adlı üçüncü bölümde tezimizin konusunu oluşturan Risale-i Mi’mariyye adlı eser hakkında, Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa ve eserin yazarı Cafer Çelebi hakkında bilgiler verilmiş, aynı zamanda eserin Osmanlı mimarisindeki yeri ve önemine de değinilmiştir. Sonrasında ise 15 bölümden oluşan bu eserin bölüm özetleri verilmiştir. Tezimizin ana bölümünü oluşturan Kavramlar ve Terminoloji adlı dördüncü bölümde Risale-i Mi’mariyye’de geçen bütün kavramlar 20 başlık altında tasnif edilerek detaylı bir şekilde açıklanmıştır. Sonuç ve Değerlendirme adlı beşinci bölümde ise bu tez çalışmasının mimarlık tarihi ve sanat tarihi literatürlerine ne gibi katkılar oluşturduğundan bahsedilmiştir. Altıncı bölümde, eserde geçen bütün kavram ve terminolojiye okuyucunun rahatlıkla ulaşabilmesi için bir indeks ve eserin orijinal şeklinin görülebilmesi için beş adet örnek sayfaya yer verilmiştir. Yedinci ve son bölümda ise bu tez çalışması hazırlanırken yararlanılan kaynaklar sıralanmıştır.
The main part of this study is formed by terminology and concepts taking place in Risale-i Mimariyye, but not only the book barely, also economical, political, cultural status and art environment of state in the period it is written. This study consists of seven main chapters which are named as below: First chapter is “Introduction”, Second chapter is “A General Look to Ottoman Architecture of 17th Century”, Third chapter is “Risale-i Mimariyye”, Fourth chapter is “Concepts and Terminology in Risale-i Mimariyye”, Fifth chapter is “Conclusion”, Sixth chapter is “Appendixes” and Seventh chapter is “Bibliography”. After introduction, in second chapter, firstly general situation, political, economical, cultural structure and art environment of Ottoman Empire, and then 17th Century Ottoman architecture is investigated basicly. In third chapter, the importance and great place of Risale-i Mimariyye in Ottoman architecture is mentioned especially. Some information about the life and works of Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa whom Risale-i Mimariyye is wrote for and some information about the author, Cafer Ağa, is also given in this chapter. Chapter summaries of Risale-i Mimariyye are also included here. The main part of our study is the fourth chapter which includes detailed explanations of concepts and terminology existing in Risale-i Mimariyye. Terminology here is divided into different sections named as “architectural components, structure types, material, tools and devices, and etc”. This thesis study comes to an end with a conclusion (fifth chapter), two appendixes of terminology index and sample pages from Risale-i Mimariyye (sixth chapter), and a bibliography (seventh chapter).
