İlkokul 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin adalet değerine yönelik metaforik algılarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Türkiye’de 2018 yılında uygulanmaya başlanan yeni öğretim programlarının odağını değerler oluşturmaktadır. Çünkü program geliştirme sürecinde belirlenen on kök değer, ilköğretim ve ortaöğretimde verilen bütün derslerin öğretim programlarının tamamlayıcı parçası haline getirilmiştir. Böylece ilk ve ortaöğretimde verilen derslere ilişkin tasarlanan öğrenme öğretme süreçlerinde kök değerlere yer verilmesinin önemli olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Öğretim programlarında on kök değer olarak belirlenen değerlerden biri de adalet değeridir. Başka bir ifade ile adalet değeri ilköğretim ve ortaöğretimde kazandırılması gereken önemli değerlerden biridir. Adalet değerine ilişkin bilgi, tutum ve davranışların öğrencilere kazandırılmasında, öğrencilerin söz konusu değere ilişkin mevcut durumlarının saptanması oldukça önemlidir. Bu öneminden dolayı bu çalışmada, ilkokul 3. Sınıf öğrencilerinin adalet değerine ilişkin metaforik algılarını incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaca uygun olarak çalışma nitel araştırma yönteminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme tekniğine göre belirlenmiştir. Bu kapsamda, İstanbul ilinin Anadolu yakasında iki İlçede bulunan farklı okullara devam eden 173 ilkokul 3. Sınıf öğrencisi çalışma grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın ham verileri 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılının Eylül ayında, katılımcıların “Adalet ….gibidir. Çünkü…..” ifadesini tamamlamasıyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın ham verileri içerik analize tabi tutularak işlenmiş ve analiz sürecinde dışardan bir göz olarak iki uzmanın görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların 73 geçerli metafor ürettiği saptanmıştır. Bu kapsamda katılımcıların adalet değerini en çok eşitlik ve terazi metaforlarıyla açıkladığı görülmüştür. Bunun yanında katılımcıların ürettikleri metaforların gerekçeleri analiz edildiğinde adalet değerine ilişkin düzen sağlayıcı unsur, doğru davranışa yöneltici unsur, gündelik yaşamı düzenleyen unsur, eşitlik sağlayıcı unsur, hukukun üstünlüğünü sağlayıcı unsur, yaşamsal bir unsur ve ihtiyaç giderici unsur kategorilerinde metaforlar üretildiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu kapsamda ilkokul 3.sınıf öğrencilerinin adalet değerine yönelik farklı perspektifleri ve benzetimleri yansıtan metaforlar ürettikleri ve üretilen metaforlarda adalet değerinin toplumsal düzen ve demokrasinin işleyişindeki öneminin altını çizdikleri tespit edilmiştir

The focus of the new curricula, which started to be implemented in Turkey in 2018, has been values. The ten root values determined in the curriculum development process have been made an integral part of the curriculum of all the courses given in primary and secondary education. Thus, it was emphasized that it is important to include root values in the learning-teaching processes designed for the lessons given in primary and secondary education. One of the values determined as the ten root values in the curriculum is the value of justice. In other words, the value of justice is one of the important values that should be gained in primary and secondary education. It is very important to determine the current situation of the students regarding the value in question in order to gain students the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors related to the value of justice. This study aims to examine the metaphorical perceptions of primary school 3rd grade students about the value of justice. The study was conducted in the qualitative research method. The study group of the research was determined according to the purposive sampling method. In this context, 173 primary school 3rd grade students attending different schools in two districts on the Anatolian side of Istanbul were determined as the study group. Those datas were collected in September of the 2022-2023 academic year, by completing the statement “Justice ….similar. Because…..” is obtained from the participants. The raw data of the research were processed by subjecting to content analysis and the opinions of two experts were consulted during the analysis process. It was determined that the participants produced 73 valid metaphors. As a result of the research, participants explained the value of justice mostly with the metaphors of equality and scales. In this framework, the value of justice is defined in the categories as ‘‘an order providing’’, ‘’ a vital element of life’’, ‘‘leading to the right behavior’’, ‘‘regulating daily life’’, ‘‘providing equality’’, ‘‘provider the rule of law’’, and "needs-relieving element". As a result of the study, it has been determined that primary school 3rd grade students produce metaphors that reflect different perspectives and simulations on the value of justice and that the metaphors produced underline the importance of the value of justice in the functioning of social order and democracy.
