Toplumsal aidiyet ve duyarlılık ilişkisi bağlamında gençlik : İstanbul'daki üniversite öğrencileri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Literatürde genellikle kimlik inşasında son derece önemli olan aidiyet duygusuna yönelik psikolojik çözümlemeler yapılmasına rağmen aidiyet kişinin tek başına yaşamış olduğu bir deneyim değildir ve sosyolojik açıdan da ele alınması gereken konulardan birisidir. Bu bağlamda aidiyetin kaynağını, grup ilişkilerinde ve toplum üyelerine sağlamış olduğu ortaklık ilişkilerinde bulmak mümkündür. Bunun yanı sıra kişiliği sosyal durumlar içerisine konumlandıran kimlikler toplumsallaşmanın bir ürünüdür. Toplumsallaşmanın önemli bir evresinde yer alan gençlerin toplumsal aidiyet düzeylerinin yüksek olması toplumun gelişimindeki en önemli kriterlerdendir. Kendini toplumun bir parçası olarak gören gencin o topluma kuvvetli duygusal bağlılık göstermesi, güven duyması ve o toplumun kural ve değerlerine uygun bir şekilde hayatını sürdürmesi beklenen bir durumdur. Üniversite öğrencilerinin toplumsal aidiyet ve duyarlılıklarının incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmaya toplam 200 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilere göre ülkemizin en önemli üç sorunu sırasıyla eğitim, ekonomi ve işsizliktir. Yine öğrencilere göre toplumda birlikteliği sağlayan en önemli unsurlar ortak değerler, gelenek ve görenekler, ortak bir tarihsel geçmiş ve ortak dini inançlardır. Çalışmadan elde edilen verilerin analizi neticesinde öğrencilerin toplumsal aidiyet düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Üniversite öğrencileri tarafından en fazla desteklenen kimliğin “çevreci” kimlik, en az desteklenen kimliğin ise “eşcinsel” kimlik olduğu görülmüştür. Çevreci kimliğini muhafazakar ve milliyetçi kimlik takip etmektedir

In the literature, although it is usually the psychological analysis of the sense of belonging that is very important in the construction of identity, belonging is not an experience that a person has lived alone, and it is one of the issues that should be considered from a sociological point of view. In this context, it is possible to find the source of belonging in the relations of the group and the partnership relations it has provided to the members of society. In addition, identities that position personality in social situations are a product of socialization. The high level of social belonging of young people in an important phase of socialization is one of the most important criteria in the development of society. The young person who sees himself/ herself as a part of the society is expected to have a strong emotional commitment to society, to trust it and to continue to live in accordance with the rules and values of that society. A total of 200 students were included in this study, which was conducted to investigate the social belonging and sensitivity of university students. According to the students, the three most important problems in our country are education, economy, and unemployment. Again, according to students, the most important elements that provide unity in society are common values, customs and traditions, a common historical background and common religious beliefs. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained from the study, it was seen that the social belonging levels of the students were at a medium level. The identity most supported by university students is seen as an environmentalist identity and the least supported identity his homosexual identity. The conservative and nationalist identity follows its environmental identity.
