Publication: Information system development at a communication systems company
Abstract
İşletmeler, günlük yapılan işler sonucunda ortaya çıkan verileri saklamak ve işlemek için bilgi sistemlerini kullanırlar. Bugün nerdeyse bütün işletmeler bilgisayara dayalı bilgi sistemlerini kullanırlar. Yapılan işi idare etmek ve müşterilere daha iyi servis vermek için, böyle bir sisteme sahip olmak şarttır. Bilgi sistemleri kullanıcılarına işlerini daha verimli ve etkili yapmaları için yardım eder. Kullanım alanına bağlı olarak, değişik tipte bilgi sistemleri vardır. Böyle bir sistemi geliştirmek ve yönetmek zor ve karmaşık bir iştir. Bu amaç için, konusunda uzman profesyoneller bir araya gelir ve bir proje takımı kurarlar. Bu çalışmada, böyle bir proje ekibinde yer alması gereken üyeler açıklanmıştır. Bilgi sistemi geliştirmenin evreleri vardır ve bu sistemi geliştirirken takip edilmesi gereken prensipler vardır. Tez çalışmasında bu evreler ve prensipler açıklanmış ve NETPA İletişim Sistemleri ve TİC. A.Ş.’nin lojistik departmanına bir bilgi sistemi kurmak için uygulanmıştır. Problem firmanın etkili bir bilgi sitemine sahip olmadan işlerini idare edememesiydi. Problem, firmaya iş gereksinimlerini tamamen karşılayacak bir bilgi sistemi kurularak, çözüldü. Tez çalışmasında sistem geliştirmenin her basamağı açıkça sunulmuştur.
Businesses use information systems to store and manage the data obtained from daily transactions. Today almost all businesses use a computer-based information system. It is essential to have such a system to manage a business and to provide better service to customers. Information systems help the users to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. Depending on their usage area, there are different types of information systems. To develop and implement such a system is a very hard and complicated work. Professionals, who are specialized on their subjects, come together and combine a project team. In this work, the project team members who should participate in such a project were explained. There are phases of information system and principles to follow while developing this system. In the thesis study these phases and principles were explained and applied to develop an information system to the logistics department of the firm called “NETPA İletişim Sistemleri ve Tic. A.Ş.”. The problem was; the firm could not manage the business without an effective information system. The problem was solved by developing an information system, which fully satisfies the business requirements. All the steps of the system development were clearly presented in the thesis study.
