Publication: Okçuzâde Mehmed Şâhî'nin Tercüme-i Tuhfetü's-Salavât'ı
Abstract
17. yüzyılın önemli münşilerinden ve devlet adamlarından biri olan Okçuzâde Mehmed Şâhî’nin Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât adlı eseri, Hüseyin Vâiz-i Kâşifî’nin Tuhfetü’s-Salavât adlı eserinin Farsçadan, Türkçeye tercümesidir. İslam dini literatüründe Peygamberlere ve özellikle Hazret-i Muhammed’e salavât getirmek önemli bir yere ve fazilete sahip olmuştur. Ayet ve hadislerde salât u selâm getirmek teşvik edilmiş, çokça salât edenlere müjdeler verilmiştir. Bunun bir sonucu olarak müminler de salavâtı önemsemişler, üzerine şiirler yazıp, besteler yapmışlardır. Gerek salavâtın öneminden gerekse usta bir münşinin kaleminden çıkmasından dolayı Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât adlı eser de Türk İslam Edebiyatı sahasında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Eserin yurt içinde ve dışında yirmi dokuz yazma ve birçok matbu nüshasının tespit edilebilmiş olması esere verilen önemin bir göstergesidir. Süslü nesrin 17. yy. temsilcilerinden olan Okçuzâde Mehmed Şâhî diğer eserlerine göre bu eserini daha sade bir üslupla kaleme almıştır. Salavâtı çeşitli açılardan ele alan eserde salavât getirmenin faziletleri, âdâbı, salavâtı terk edenin akıbeti gibi konular üzerinden Peygamber efendimize salât u selâm getirmenin önemi ve mahiyeti anlatılmıştır. Bu çalışmada İslâmi Türk edebiyatı açısından önem arz eden Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât’ın tanıtılıp ilim ve kültür dünyasına kazandırılması amaçlanmıştır. Tezin giriş kısmında çalışmanın amacı, konusu, usûlü belirtilmiştir. Birinci bölümde Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât çeşitli açılardan incelenmiş, eserle ve konuyla ilgili daha önce yapılan çalışmalardan bahsedilmiş, Hüseyin Vâiz-i Kâşifî ve Okçuzâde Mehmed Şâhî ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde eserin nüshaları tespit edilmiş, ulaşılabilen nüshalar tanıtılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde metin tenkidinde riâyet edilecek esaslar ortaya koyulmuştur ve Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât’ın tenkitli neşri yapılmıştır. Sonuç kısmında ulaşılan neticeler sıralanmış ve genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.
The important Munshii of the 17th century, Okçuzâde Mehmed Şâhî's (Okchuzâde Mehmed Shâhî) Tercüme-i Tuhfetü's Salavât (Tarcuma-i Tuhfatu’s-Salawât) is a translation of Hüseyin Vaiz-i Kâşifi's (Husayn Vâiz-i Kâshifi’s) Tuhfetü's-Salavât (Tuhfatu’s-Salawât) from Persian into Turkish. In Islamic religious literature, salawât to the Prophets and especially to the Prophet Muhammad has an prominent prayer place and virtue. Therefore Tercüme-i Tuhfetü's-Salavât has an valuable place in the field of Turkish Islamic Literature. The fact that twenty-nine manuscript and printed copies of the work have been identified in Turkey and abroad is an indication of the interest in this work. The work which deals with salāwāt from various perspectives, the importance and essence of mentioning salāt to the Prophet involves the explanations through the topics such as the virtues of mentioning salāwāt, its etiquette, and the fate of those who abandon salawāt in this study, Tercüme-i Tuhfetü's-Salavât, which is significant in terms of Islamic religion and Turkish cultural history, has been introduced and added to the world of knowledge. In the introduction of the study, the purpose, subject, and methodology of the study are stated in the introduction of the study and information. In the first section, Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât is examined from various perspectives, previous studies related to the work and its subject matter are discussed, and information about the author is provided. In the second section, copies of the work have been identified and accessible copies have been introduced. The third part sets forth the principles to be observed in textual criticism and presents a critical edition of Tercüme-i Tuhfetü’s-Salavât. In the conclusion section, the results obtained are listed and a general evaluation is made.
