Abstract
19. YÜZYILDA AVRUPA’DA TEKNOLOJİK VE TOPLUMSALDEĞİŞİMLERİN GİYSİ MODASINA ETKİLERİBu tez çalışması, 19. yüzyıl Avrupa’sının, giysi modası ve gelişimi incelemekistenildiğinde yeterli Türkçe kaynak bulunamaması, yabancı kaynakların çevirilerininde eksik ya da hatalı olması, ayrıca konuyla ilgili, günümüz teknolojik kaynağı olaninternetin de bilgi kirliliği yarattığı problemiyle karşılaşılması üzerine çözüm arayışıgütme amacıyla yazılmıştır.Üç bölüme ayrılan tezin birinci bölümünde, 1789’da yaşanılan Fransız Devrimiile değişim hareketliliğinin başlandığı gözlemlenmesi üzerine öncelikle buradan yolaçıkarak konu ele alınmaya başlanmış ve hemen arkasından yaşanılan Sanayi Devrimi ilebu devrimlerin yapısı, etki alanı ve gelişimi incelenmiş; sonucunda yarattığı teknolojikgelişmeleri, ayrıca sanat ve toplum hayatına kattıkları üzerine araştırmalar yapılaraktüm bu yaşanılanların tekstil sektörüne ve giysi modasına nası etkiler yarattığıaraştırılmıştır.İkinci bölümde giysi ve moda kavramları incelenirken, modern modasisteminin varoluş süreci ve Avrupa’da nasıl etkileşim yarattığı incelenmiştir. Busistemin kuruluşunda etkisi olan başta Fransa olmak üzere dönemin yapısı ve toplumuaraştırılmış, ilk moda tasarımcıları olan Charles Frederick Worth ve Paul Poiret’inhayatları, moda sektörüne kattıkları sayısız yenilikler ve kurdukları sistemleraraştırılmıştır. Teknolojinin gelişmesi üzerine gündeme gelen moda illüstrasyonları vefotoğrafı ve ardından gelen moda basını ile dönem yapısı incelenmeye devam edilerekaraştırmalar tamamlanmıştır.Üçüncü ve son bölümde, ilk iki bölümdeki gelişimlerin bir nevi sonuçlarışeklinde, 19. yüzyıldaki kadın giysi modasındaki gelişim süreci ele alınarak, kendiiçinde dönemlere ayrılarak incelenmiştir. Bu dönemler içinde yer alan giysilerinöncelikle formlarındaki değişimler gözönünde bulundurularak, kumaş, renk, kullanılandetayları kronolojik olarak ele alınıp çeşitli görsellerle bu bilgiler desteklenmiş ve tezçalışması tamamlanmıştır.
EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL CHANGES ON FASHIONIN EUROPE IN THE 19th CENTURYThis thesis is written with the purpose to seek solutions to difficulties facedwhen fashion and development in garment industry of 19th century Europe isresearched, which caused by the lack of adequate Turkish resources, missing orinaccurate translations of foreign resources. Furthermore, the internet has become themain source of information which causes infollution currently.In the first part of the thesis, which was divided into three sections, the basisstarts with the French Revolution in 1789 by the observation of the startup point ofmovement of change begins and continues with the technological developments thatcame with the Industrial Revolution were examined. The aim of the chapter is to discussthe structure of the affected area by these revolutions and its contributions to art andpublic life as well as the influences on fashion and the textile sector.In the second part, the concepts of fashion, as well as the development of themodern fashion system and how it creates an interaction in Europe, has been addressed.In this content, the structure and society of the region, especially in France, which hadan immense impact on the establishment of this system, were cited. Charles FrederickWorth and Paul Poiret whom introduced numerous innovations to the fashion industryand also are considered as the first fashion designers were studied. The research wascompleted by continuing to inspect the fashion illustrations and photographs whichwere produced with the development of the technology and with the fashion press thatfollowed.In the third and final section, the results of the developments which have beenmentioned in previous two sections, the women’s fashion design in the 19th century hasbeen studied in itself by being divided into periods. The thesis has been completed byexamining the considerations of the changes in forms, colors and fabrics used in theindustry with various supportive visuals in chronological order.
