Abstract

yat İstikrarı, Enflasyon Hedeflemesi ÖZET Fiyat ve ücretlerin kısa dönemde yapışkan olduğu varsayımına dayanan enflasyon hedeflemesi stratejisinde merkez bankaları, kısa vadeli faiz oranını kullanarak aktarım kanalları aracılığıyla ulusal çıktı açığına yön vermeye çalışmakta, çıktı açığındaki değişim aracılığıyla da enflasyon oranını yönlendirmek istemektedirler. Bu çalışmada ilk etapta enflasyon hedeflemesi stratejisinin doğuşu, teorik çerçevesi ve işleyiş yapısı ele alınmakta, sonrasında ise Türkiye'de uygulanan enflasyon hedeflemesi stratejisinin teorik çerçevesi ile uygulamadaki durumu arasındaki ilişki analiz edilmektedir. Elde edilen bulgular Türkiye'de uygulanan enflasyon hedeflemesi stratejisinin teorik temeller ile örtüştüğünü, bu nedenle stratejinin Türkiye için uygun bir strateji olduğunu göstermektedir. In the inflation targeting regimes which depends on the assumption of prices and wages are fixed in the short run, the central banks tries to direct the domestic output gap by using the short term interest rate through the transmission mechanism and desires to direct the domestic interest rate through the changes in domestic output gap. In this study, we would like to take in hand the appearing, theoretical foundations and operation structure of inflation targeting strategy and then we try to analyse the relationship between theoretical background of inflation targeting strategy and its implementation. Findings show that in Turkey, the implementation of inflation targeting strategy coincides with the theoretical foundations of it. Hence, it shows that this strategy is suitable for Turkish economy.
