Ekstrem çevre koşullarında iç mekan tasarımı

Abstract

Geçmişten günümüze evrilerek gelişen mekân, insanlığın hayatta kalmak için yarattığı mekân algısından giderek farklı anlamlar kazanan hacimlere dönüşmüştür. Zamanla gelişen mekânlar, insanın aidiyet ve ev gibi kavramlarını yüklemesiyle, bu mekânlar kişinin bağ kurduğu yaşam alanlarına dönüşmüştür. İnsan, bağ kurduğu coğrafyada koşullar ne olursa olsun hayatta kalabilme amacıyla mekânlar geliştirmeye devam etmiştir. Farklı nedenlerle ekstrem çevre koşullarıyla bile yaşamayı göze insan, yaratıcığını kullanarak oluşturduğu sistemlerle, dayanıklı mekânlar geliştirmiştir. Bu mekânlar, teknolojik gelişmeler doğrultusunda güncellemiş ve ulaşılamaz, yaşanılmaz olarak düşünülen başka gezegenlerde yaşam hayallerine referans kaynağı olabilmiştir. Dünya üzerinde bulunan ekstrem çevreler ve bu çevrelere ait mekânlar, insanlığı bilinmeyene yakınlaştıracak olan yoldaki yegâne adımlardan birisini oluşturacaktır. Bilim ve mühendislik disiplini, mimarlık ve tasarım disiplinlerinden beslenerek gelecek mekânlarının oluşmasına katkı sağlayacaktır. Çalışmada, Dünya üzerinde geçmişten günümüze ekstrem çevreler için tasarlanmış mekânsal oluşumlar ve Uzay için tasarlanan mekânlar incelenerek, bu iki farklı habitat arasındaki bağın insan ve mekân üzerinden incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma, Dünya üzerindeki ekstrem çevre koşulları için tasarlanmış geleneksel yapılar ve güncel örnekler, Uzay için tasarlanmış araçlar ve geleceğe yönelik Mars, Ay mekân kurguları üzerinden örneklere yer vermektedir. Bu örnekler üzerinden iç mekân tasarımının özellikleri incelenerek gelecek potansiyel mekân kurgularına altlık bir çalışma zemini sunması hedeflenmiştir.Space, which has evolved and developed from the past to the present, has turned into volumes that have gradually acquired different meanings from the perception of space created by humanity to survive. Spaces that have developed over time have turned into living spaces with which people connect with concepts such as belonging and home. Man has continued to develop spaces in order to survive regardless of the conditions in the geography to which he is connected. A person who can afford to live even in extreme environmental conditions for different reasons has developed durable spaces with systems created using his creativity. These places have been updated in accordance with technological developments and have been able to be a reference source for dreams of life on other planets that are considered unattainable and uninhabitable. The extreme places located on Earth and the spaces belonging to these places will form one of the only steps on the path that will bring humanity closer to the “unknown”. The discipline of science and engineering will contribute to the formation of future spaces by feeding on the disciplines of architecture and design. In this study, space formations designed for extreme environments and spaces designed for Space have been examined on Earth from past to present, and it is aimed to examine the relationship between these two habitats through man and interior space. The study provides examples through traditional structures and current examples designed for extreme environmental conditions on Earth, vehicles designed for Space, and future-oriented Mars and Lunar space fictions. Through these examples, the characteristics of interior design were examined and it was aimed to provide a working ground for future potential space installations.
