Problem temelli yaratıcı düşünme etkinliklerinin çocukların yaratıcı düşünme becerilerine olan etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, problem temelli yaratıcı düşünme etkinliklerinin çocukların yaratıcı düşünme becerileri üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Deneysel modellerden “tek grup ön test-son test” deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu belirlenirken seçkisiz olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden uygun örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim döneminde İstanbul ilinde bulunan özel bir okulda öğrenim gören 12 öğrenci (9 kız, 3 erkek) oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilere 6 hafta boyunca, haftada 1 gün 35 dk olmak üzere rehberlik odasında problem temelli yaratıcı düşünme etkinliklerinden oluşan oturumlar uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada ölçme aracı olarak Torrance Yaratıcı Düşünme Testi Sözel B Formu kullanılmıştır ve testin akıcılık, esneklik, orijinallik alt boyutlarına ait ön test- son test puanları karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin çözümlenmesinde IBM SPSS 26 paket kullanılmıştır. Grup içi ön-son test karşılaştırmalarında bağımlı gruplar t-testi kullanılmıştır. Bağımlı T testi kullanılarak yapılan analizler sonucunda, öğrencilerin son test toplam ve alt boyut puanlarının ön test puanlarına göre anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlar, problem temelli yaratıcı düşünme etkinliklerinin öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini geliştirmede etkili olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Gelecek çalışmalarda, daha geniş katılımcı gruplarıyla benzer etkinliklerin farklı yaş gruplarına uygulanması önerilmektedir. Eğitim programları, yaratıcı düşünmeyi teşvik edecek etkinliklerle zenginleştirilmeli ve bu becerilerin sürdürülebilir bir şekilde geliştirilmesine odaklanılmalıdır.

In this study, the effects of problem-based creative thinking activities on children's creative thinking skills were examined. The 'single group pre-test-post-test' design, one of the experimental models, was used. The study group was selected using a non-random sampling method, specifically convenience sampling. The study group consisted of 12 students (9 girls, 3 boys) who were studying at a private school in Istanbul during the 2022-2023 academic year. The students participated in problem-based creative thinking sessions for 6 weeks, once a week for 35 minutes in the guidance room. The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (Verbal B Form) was used as the measurement tool, and pre-test and post-test scores related to the fluency, flexibility, and originality subdimensions were compared. IBM SPSS 26 software was used to analyze the research data. A paired-samples t-test was conducted to compare the pre-test and post-test scores within the group. The results of the paired-samples t-test indicated that the post-test scores of the students were significantly higher than their pre-test scores. These results suggest that problem-based creative thinking activities are effective in enhancing students' creative thinking skills. In future studies, it is recommended to apply similar activities to different age groups with larger participant groups. Educational programs should be enriched with activities that promote creative thinking and should focus on the sustainable development of these skills.
