Yavuz Sultan Selim'e sunulan arz ve arzuhaller

Abstract

Bu tez, I. Selim tahta çıktıktan sonra kendisine sunulan arz ve arzuhalleri konu edinmektedir. İlgili belgeler Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Arşivi’nde muhafaza edilmekte ve belgelerin dijital görüntüleri Cumhurbaşkanlığı Devlet Arşivleri Başkanlığı Osmanlı Arşivi’nde araştırmacıların hizmetine sunulmaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasının temel hedefi, I. Selim’e sunulan arz ve arzuhalleri literatüre kazandırmak ve ilgili belgeler üzerinden Selim’e taht mücadelesinde destek verenlerin kimliklerine açıklık getirmektir. I. Selim’in taht mücadelesi anlatıldıktan sonra belgeler üzerinden I. Selim’in destekçileri tespit edilmeye çalışılmış ve belgelerin transkripsiyonlarına yer verilmiştir. Söz konusu belgeler, babasını tahttan indirmek suretiyle tahta çıkan I. Selim’in taht mücadelesinin safhalarına ve bu safhalarda kendisine destek verenlere dair önemli bilgiler sunmaktadır. Bu belgeler sayesinde Selim’in, Trabzon’dan, Kefe’den, Kili’den, Eski Zağra’dan ve Tekeili’nden olmak üzere farklı yerlerden muhtelit bir destekçi kitlesi olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Yine belgeler üzerinden Şehzade Şehinşah’ın kullarının da Selim’e destek verdikleri ve hatta II. Bâyezid’in kulu olan kimsenin de Selim’in safında yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir.

This dissertation deals with offerings (ardh) and wishes (ardh-haal) which were offered to Selim I after his accession. The documents are currently kept in the Archive of Topkapi Palace Museum while the digital images of the documents are available in the Ottoman Archive of the Directorate of State Archives. The main objective of this dissertation is to add offerings and wishes presented to Selim I to the literature on this field. Besides, through related documents it is aimed at shedding light upon those who supported Selim in his efforts for enthronement. After explaining the efforts Selim made for the throne, the paper then attempts to detect Selim's supporters by making use of the related documents the transcripts of which are included. These documents contain crucial information about the process of the enthronement Selim achieved by dethroning his own father and about his supporters in the said process. It is concluded and shown that Selim had compound masses of supporters from Trabzon, Caffa, Kiliia, Stara Zagora and Teke. Furthermore, the documents also revealed that Şehzade Şehinşah's subjects as well supported Selim and that even a subject of Beyazid II took his side.
